This week, I had the pleasure of visiting on of our offices in Northern Ireland. I met colleagues from across many areas of the business and I really enjoyed watching them collaborate to deliver services for our customers.
In Northern Ireland, Capita essentially touches the lives of all citizens - our reach is impactful and truly meaningful. For example, we provide strategic services to every NI primary school and secondary school as well as all hospitals, all GP surgeries and all fire stations in the region. In the NI education sector, we are making a positive impact providing an area-wide IT managed service to 1,100 schools, managing and monitoring the network. We also support 380,000 teachers and learners and leading the way globally with pioneering EdTech solutions in teaching and learning.
During Covid, our teams supplied end-user devices for Belfast’s mass vaccination clinic, provided a full-time onsite IT assistance team for the centre and in the first 2 months of lockdown, assisted 500 health service staff with technology device provisioning, enabling them to continue to deliver a service to patients. Talk about making an impact!!
It was another fantastic trip, and I am truly humbled by the work that our teams do here and proud that they play such a significant role in Capita. While we do so much in Northern Ireland, we continue to work with the government and our clients to find new ways to create better experiences, efficiencies and outcomes for customers and citizens.
