This is a merger and not a takeover, correct? Both companies are of similar size.

It's a takeover Angelis. The price will hold around this level (the share price Mars have agreed to pay for HOTC) unless something comes out of the blue.

If Marstons sold their stake in CMBC how much do you think they'd get for it at present? Thinking of starting to buy back in here.

@Taverham they had previously been paying a modest dividend, back when the business was even younger. Admittedly I don't think it will be returning anytime soon, given recent events.

Good results. Nothing I've seen makes me want to sell so continuing to hold for the long term.

Certainly possible. There's been a common theory since the first week of invasion that perhaps Russia's goal was all of Eastern Ukraine...stopping at the Dnipro river. It's looking like they won't achieve that now.
