Only a minor switch (20%) as don’t want to miss out on nmc. Taken decision to tryand trade a few profits to take a bit out clean from NMC as other buying opportunities. However still heavily weighted to this one!! Some shares have taken a big hit IAG/EVRAZ and will recover when corona blows over....hopefully

I took a 3% hit on NMC at 12.75, to buy an 8% hit at HL, which one will go up quicker I wonder

Indeed. Accounting rules are very solid for a FTSE100 company.

Q. Unless we all seriously think there is fraud, NMC will survive. Businesses often have complex structures. If this was a household name, more likely sentiment would be different. MKS, Capita, STJ have been shorted to a greater degree than NMC albeit not quite as drastic.

Given the cases he has worked on, he is the right chap for the job. MW credibility is on the fact that they have guessed right before. Maybe Sino-forest earned some kudos, and he has a reputation, but only a few shorted companies collapse. I am reassured by NMC professionalism. No panic, no hurry, a killer blow. Without a thorough report, share price could get to a level where mw could make another fortune! I see potential litigation as well as vindication. This business is 40 years old, owners will not rush this out. It’s not another mtro or Tullow. This firm is a market leader.

Don’t want to over-egg the pudding, but google Louis Freeh, private eye article on fortune.com by daniel Roberts in 2013, this chap is heavy duty. I would be worried if I was MW right now.

What a peculiar week, the share chart looks like a heart rate monitor. Just need a positive set of news to bring NMC back to life.

Don’t want to influence you, but the stock jumped 25% pretty quickly when the report was announced, so unless it’s a bad report, the Thing to do is be in beforehand

When this reverses it will be quite spectacular.
8th Jan - 1257, 15th Jan -1345, 17th Jan -1557. Has there been any bad news, no. Did the share placement cause a crash, no. Do the positive signs outweigh the negative, for sure. Remember this share is down 50%. A negative outcome is already priced in, the market hates uncertainty.
