But sold half my holding at 2.01p earlier today, having held for over a year, and being a little over 100% up.
I normally get these things wrong, but will feel far happier sitting back and enjoying the free ride having too often got too attached to a share and seen it rise and then fall resulting in a loss.
GST has no control over the FCA workloads, I used to work for a company providing the technology behind Revolut etc and it there were always delays. I'd rather a small delay and everything be smoothed out in testing that get thrown out early or on time.
I bought with HL in my ISA and it cost £5.95 in fees.
You have an annual allowance of £12,300, and the rate is 10 or 20% depending on what tax bracket you are in, 18% or 28% is for gains on property. The gain can potentially take you from one bracket into the higher one.
So what are everyone's thoughts on this?
I guess it could be worse, David Ore must be fuming - or know something we dont?
I'm still holding my shares and will until any announcement is made and am working on the basis that I will either get back some of my money or loose it all, either way it isn't a life changer, more the case that I'm just stubbon. That said, I do think that it is time to block Sarkozy and Vienna11 as I have no interest in reading the constant bickering on this board, the content is not informative at all with regard to SMA, Sarkozy clearly has a personal vendetta against SMA and Mr Pearl (otherwise why waste so much time on here?) and is clearly on the SMA failure front which is their opinion which they are entitled to (I also have no interest in anyone's lifestyle and wine cellar comments, as true or fantasy, they don't have any impact on my knowledge of SMA). On the other hand Vienna11 is so blindingly positive in SMA's favour that anything negative is instantly seen as trolling, and the constant knocking of other posters is simply tiring, again I'm learning nothing new. I think this board may well become tumbleweed for me now!!!
This place is a joke if you filter the arguments from here, when was the last genuinely informative post made? I'm holding onto the few shares I have as either way it won't make or break me, I'm just to stubbon to sell. I guess we will find out in the next month or two what the outcome will be.....
on VG today :)
As you are the saviour of all SMA holders, rather than run SMA down, why not put your reputation on the line and recommend a single share, that you would recommend that everyone holding their shares in SMA trades them in for, then in 6 months time, which allows for the RTO to have taken place and Volcanic Gold to have raised the capital they intend to. We can compare the performance of both SMA and your nominated share, using the opening price on Monday and the closing price on the 17th August and then at that point we will have no option but to accept and acknowledge your greater knowledge, or you leave the SMA board for good? No stupid £10,000 wagers, just purely your reputation?
But am wondering if someone is deliberately driving the price down on the basis that we will receive an RTO offer of the average share price over the last X period of time plus a premium of say 25%, and the price being driven down to effectively wipe out any premium attached - but then I love a good conspiracy theory!
Volcanic Gold keep going up - we should all have invested in there instead lol
I was hoping that we might show some positive signs after VOL went up nearly 35% yesterday, but here we are nearly 10% down, of well, such is life, I guess we will see what happens over the coming months.
