Ha ha @parsley - you’re back, where have you been, lol !!
Yes you should apologise for calling me a thicko when I said CFD’s were subject to corporate actions - such as the RI in question, are you still adamant they’re not then ?
@hash I’m a bit confused tbh - we’re about 90p down from when rights started trading with 85% more shares on the market ..
Is it a just a coincidence that 90p isn’t far off what you can buy a share for with the rights ?
I’m no expert but looks like you’ve been left with the rights - yes best to close before they come on to the market and increase in value IMO
Funnily enough @Parsley filtered me calling me a thicko as I said this would happen if you were short when the rights started trading - he was adamant spreadbets / etf’s weren’t subject to corporate actions as @hash will remember. @Parsleys gone missing from this board ever since, I wonder why lol
An apology will suffice @parsley no hard feelings
Thanks @mrlong - I suppose it’s my experience with IAG and RR that’s made me think the price will drop on the 29th - just hope it’s different here - maybe it being post vaccine news will mean the drop won’t happen - anyway GLA !
So can anyone explain the SP on RR... the rights started trading, there was a drop - just like TUI, then the SP rose, just like TUI, then the RR rights subscription period ended and the shares came onto the market and the SP dropped like a stone... can anyone explain why ?
I hope I’m wrong - if the SP is already diluted I certainly won’t sell and am quids in but I fear it is yet to drop. I wish I’d screen grabbed the Mcap a few weeks ago now... Tbh I can’t explain why the SP had risen - I wouldn’t buy now, the same thing happened to RR and to a lesser extent IAG the price rallied and then dropped on the equivalent of 29th Jan for TUI
I disagree @avocet, I’m with Hargreaves Lansdown and the historic prices haven’t been revised yet - they did that with IAG and RR - my understanding is at the moment the rights and original shares are being traded separately - yet to be almagamated.
