Exactly depth testing... Depth of the market... Triggers by stops, buy orders, sell orders, swing how the market is looking, what appetite is out there to buy/sell... Mms test the market to drive liquidity, remember they need buys and sells to make their crust...

Where are you seeing that? I guess to encourage trading or to find the triggers...
