Me not included in such hallowed company….You deserve and qualify for the courtesy of a professional reply. Persist if no initial response. May I also suggest all posters copy Noel’s query to their ‘saved notes’ - in case of LSE deletion - and send the question yourselves, in case the initial query is ignored….

I do find it quite suspiciously strange that Maris (and his lapdog cronies) still , after all this time, have no skin in the game?. It is quite obvious he is not working in the interest of the shareholders(owners) of this company. He is just going to hold on to his final job at circa £500K p.a,.for as long as possible, whilst waiting for the pensions and perks to accumulate. Shareholders are just a stone in his shoe. CA got greedy adding to their holding, but have little to lose and other fish to fry.. HUR’s management don’t want ‘outside interference’ from new corporate shareholders ! Despite its growing debt free balance sheet, HUR management is still regarded as very weak, uncommunicative , and thus risky by the City….and frankly stinks of collusion. All IMO.
I can’t wait for closure here….

MrWilks - Yes. You are correct!……..if there is a way, the Chinese will find it. I lived in the Fa East for over 25years. My father and I ,(9 months old) ,went there for the Japanese surrender in 1946. All Chinese are the most adaptable race. Particularly the Han Chinese. I admire their tenacity. No one will ever rule the world, per se. But the Chinese are very ******, and think themselves superior.

Just saw on CNN that Russia has said in 2023 it will sell 80% production of its oil to ‘friendly’ countries.

Just got this email from Hargreaves’s Lansdown….nothing really new…

Further to our email sent on 19 January 2023, we would like to update you on the return of capital announced by Hurricane Energy plc. We previously advised that the proceeds were expected to be paid on or around 1 February 2023.

On 2 February 2023, Hurricane Energy plc announced the following: "The registering of the court order with the Registrar of Companies will complete the Reduction of Capital process, which allows the Company to make capital returns to shareholders. The completion of the process does not itself automatically trigger a capital return and, as previously announced, the next steps in terms of timing and exact quantum of a return of capital to shareholders will be decided in conjunction with the ongoing Formal Sales Process and we look forward to updating shareholders in due course." (Hurricane Energy plc, 02 February 2023).

Following this announcement, we are now awaiting a further update as to when to expect to receive the return of capital proceeds. If there is sufficient time following the announcement of a timetable ahead of the receipt of the proceeds, we will communicate this to you. However, if not, please be assured that upon receipt of the cash we will add this to your account without delay. We will contact you following the return of capital to confirm how your portfolio has been affected.

Gas - Yes, but the sale bid at 7.7p was rejected by HUR BoD, not recommended as in your comment. Being recommended the shareholders knew what was proceeding. We, are in mushroom land….

Why doesn’t HUR management issue a statement describing the Company’s present status and progress? It is not as though Maris&Co are oblivious to shareholders’ need for transparency. They are just being bloody minded, or they are hiding something litigious. Everybody should send Maris an email asking,
“What is going on?”.
In fact, send the email to every single person in the Company you can.
Patience is thin now….

Eskibeatbeater - I think there are many of us LTHs who totally agree with your sentiments. This share is crook, corrupt, highly manipulated, and plays on our emotions with “Jam tomorrow!” snippets and morsels, which never materialise!
When this is over, we’ll all fade away; burnt, and blaming ourselves. The AIM will continue on, lining up the next bunch of suckers.
I do feel explanations are warranted from this BoD, especially having been found wanting in Court already.

This is looking more and more like we’re going to get screwed. One can almost sense it. They’ll say 7.7p is way above the market( which it is), so we’ll take that.
What are the PIs on this BB going to do about it? Nothing. This is clearly dodgy, in my view.. CA may just throw in the towel, I suspect. Perhaps they held on too long…
