I would think that the div is very secure. The bank knows it is bought for its secure div. It will be maintained.
What's not to like at 7%? The management is world class, and if the fan hit China then the one bank the Chinese respect is HSBC. Rock solid assets and balance sheet. This price is silly low. Thus the 7% div.
