Joe Public is not forced to buy the shares in HUR. They take on the existing risk of buying the shares . The difference between speculation and gambling is the assumption of an unknown quantitative risk, and a known one. The stock markets don’t like the image of gambling. Until HUR shares enter a well regulated, and fiscally qualified domain, like the main market, this equity will remain in gamblers’ territory. NOMADS on AIM, and their conflict of interest, being a case in point.
The truly sad thing is that HUR is definitely a good company, and has done nearly everything expected of it. This - by not finding fault - is the only reason I have stayed an investor/gambler.
Would I choose it again.? Yes,. But with less personal financial exposure. Say £25k, not £100K, as I am now.

Manipulation spelt wrongly before.....
FRED B - Hedge fund guys can contact each other to sell/raid the HUR stock over a period to knock the price down. All wink wink, nod nod. Of course illegal, but virtually unprovable. This is minnow stuff for the FCA. Collectively the hedge funds are financially very powerful - especially against a stock which is held by many many easily spooked private retail investors. Most of Killicks private retail clients have this share, for instance. I could go on but you get the picture. Where there is money, there is greed.

Captain Swag - You have a valid point about the perfect storm. I view 8 oil companies on my watchlist. HUR is a very slow share to react on the upside. Several companies with huge debt perform better. Trouble is, there are a lot of holders in HUR who want to unload. Some with tens of millions of shares. Dr T doesn’t seem interested. My motive here is to make money. His is to prove the fractured basement concept in the North Sea.
I would like to see new dynamic communications management. It angers me to see management awarding themselves options etc whilst we wallow in the dirt.
What do the NEDs do? Really? What do they do?..

It most certainly does. There is a very fine line in the world between commission and corruption. I maintain my opinion that HUR’s SP is manipulated. Getting out of AIM is the start of the cure . I don’t think Dr T and his team have any concept of how bent it all is. Almost as bad as some of the Canadian Exchanges like Toronto and Vancouver. Ask any broker.

Belgium Mid-march: totally useless face masks for health workers bought/paid for by one of our 9 health ministers.!! Methinks HUR’s SP is all down to the PoO now.
OilPrice.com is an entertaining PoO US website; with every speculation, rumour, and local oil story, all thrown into the mire.
This BB will be a little redundant, as there is not much left to be said after HUR’s amateur and dull, but informative, CMD.
As usual, a waiting game.

Ned, You are just the man I had in mind. Due to the low P of Oil I can only pay you £600,000 pa. + options of course. When things improve you can have more, and more, and more, free shares, car, jet, and the other toys.
All you have to do is get the share price up to 300p, long enough for some of us short term(15 years, FFS !)holders to get out.....

I get a feeling of corporate lethargy having listened/watched to the CMD...... I think its time Dr. T gracefully bowed out with all our thanks. He's been here 15 years, and all the SP has done is go DOWN ! I suspect he's fed up too.
Time for someone who can first and foremost raise the share price of this company.
