TB; Pumped water storage is the pumping of water upwards to store potential energy against gravity when electricity is plentiful. It can then be allowed to run down through turbines when energy is unavailable to generate power. Nothing to do with anything mobile. And I think we'd all agree : VRFB s are unlikely to power aircraft. Lower energy density, fire risk and weight and size count against them there. Its GRID SCALE storage that is exciting.

Not sure I understand your point Cala. It would be like saying 95% of planes were powered by propeller engines in 1945.Jet engine development was advancing and about to revolutionise the air industry. VRFBs seem to offer huge new advantages. Pumped water storage is about to go the way of the propeller engine.

Frankly, none of the trolling would be a worry (or even possible) if the share price was doing better. They only have ammunition as long as the SP languishes. It isn't easy to wind people up when their investment is flying.!! FM said some months ago " We can and will do something about the SP" and delivering on this is seriously overdue now. It would be disgraceful if, as some here have suggested ( but where I cannot believe this to be the case) , news is being held back until after the JSE listing to enable the rerate to profit new SA investors.

Makes good sense. Although I dont understand why they didn't allow it up more to encourage some sellers. What drives them to scrape the shares together over virtually a whole trading day when they would have persuaded some to sell if the price rose?

Except most of what Nick said was coming came and went without any positive effect on SP.

Compass. "RECURRING" profits were a lot lower. Our headline profit was inflated by a favourable revaluation of Vanchem which added to our bottom line but is a one off. Even so, crazy SP.

If it IS all linked with sweeteners for South African investors coming late to the party then I would agree. It would be most unfair on longer term investors if the SP is being held down in some way. FM has gone on record as saying he is grateful for the support of LTHs and I really cant see that he would so duplicitously disadvantage them. .......which thus still leaves the true reasons for the woeful SP performance unclear to me!

Dont buy that at all and not what Chika intimated in her reply to me where she noted that management were frustrated too. I think there is a seller and I believe FM was (very unusually) wrongfooted by the placees (in a placement that was oversubscribed) being willing to continue selling down even when the company prospects look excellent. JMO

I emailed weeks ago. Perfectly pleasant reply from Chika who said she would pass on to senior management but no specifics which of course they wouldn't be able to disclose anyway.
