B.A.Y.E. scheme
Good point " no dealing fees" to the best of my knowledge. That could be the deciding factor with a lot of holders with a small amount of shares.
With the price 101.1 is it time to get off the bus ( sell )or time to move down the bus (buy more) with the chance of a special dividend still lurking .
Sorry did not mean to confuse anyone The date I quoted 22 11 21 is the last date for letting ( Halifax share dealing ) know if you want to take up the offer.
I still have not had any information from Freeshare about the tender offer.
Greed that is my problem Market value 102.9 tender 105 if you could cash in now and make 2.1 per share on the amount of shares I end up being able to tender. Wait to see how the S.P. goes after 18 11 21 G.M. and the value of any special dividend.
We seem to know Coast's position ( good riddens) Would love to know how all the small share holders will go seem to think they will hold , ( do0 nowt) that means not do anything but we do not know . It could be a damp quid and nobody tender or it could be over applied for and the minimum 38.9 % entitlement used.
The S.P. on the open market could be more than the tender price on 18 11 21 or on 22 11 21 blowing the 2.1 away (waiting game).
RoyGa Thank's for the advice, I have received information from Halifax share dealing today. Nothing as yet from Freeshare
I will look on the app for information.
The main points,
needs approval on 18,11,
have until 22nd November 23 59 to let them know your decision.
Irontaz same here but not out of choice
I think the big picture is removing all these shares this will make this stock worth more, and the more removed ( people that take full advantage of the tender) the more the SP will rise.
So even if there is no longer any value in the offer the removal of the shares is still a good thing.
I have given up all my share certificates and have my shares held and have just discovered that although I do receive dividends and the right to vote at AGM's ect .I have not received any information regarding the tender offer or would even know how to take up the offer, there must be many others in the same position. A lesson to be learned always read the small print.
Thank's JMU96 The information is all there well done.
What will the S.P. be in six months that is the big question. Crystal ball anyone ?.
Phase two ( still getting my head around phase one )
Sorry my post on wednesday " total no brainer" not at all this is very difficult . What the immediate stock value will be say in six months.
Coast capital are to tender ( I think that means sell and have removed 156 million shares)
I have read they own 12.8% but will account for 1/3 of the entire tender ( how does that add up)
The funds from the sale 2.3 billion seem to have been used to satisfy debt and buy back ( maybe remove from circulation). shares.
I have no share certificates and have all my stocks held ( not saying who by ) but this had led to me having no direct communication regarding this tender offer and I am having to rely on media information.
I consider no directors taking up the tender offer ( which now shows very little financial value )as a good sign of confidence long term.
I am also happy that coast capital seem to be taking up the tender I always thought that they were in it for the short term.
I do feel the whole deal and the money from the sale of City bus service and school buses should have been disbursed with a special dividend but understand the reasons for not doing so. I suppose the value is there by way of stock value.
I consider it opposite to a rights issue instead of printing shares, removing shares and this should make the remaining shares more valuable.
No not a no brainer. Just my opinion
Yep Chevy 12 its a total no brainer sell then buy back at market price on open market.
You are not buying back they are different shares you can replace any you sell at any time but market value still volatile.
IN MY OPINION
I buy and sell on " freetrade"
Pyueck Your calculation could be wrong be due to a massive oversight . Please see Ebay item no 274825478521 Go on you know you want to have a look. You will have to laugh ( or at least smile ).
Transport company's will now be taking a close look at past and present agreements. I am pretty sure FG will have nothing to worry about and that when the dust settles all will be fine.
One of my concerns with FG taking over other struggling company's is that FG are not good at this, they would run it separate to the rest of the company, keep all the managers office staff and probably spend a fortune on the vehicles bringing them up-to FG standard.
It is hard to believe this is an oversight you know how many miles you are running , and do not change this without serious consideration.
I also think FG has become top heavy, When they decide to put building maintenance and building cleaning and vehicle (train or bus )cleaning and god knows what else out to tender you never see the reduction in management who had to manage these areas.
All that without a single mention of a cake. " DOH almost "
Pyueck your post 21 09 21 you said first group should use the £ 500 000 000 to buy Go ahead when they were 915.5 they are now 735.65 that is a drop of 20% or a 1/5 of a cake( that's a fat wedge )or if the cake had 100 candles that would be down to 80 candles.
That £500 000 000 would now be worth £400 000 000.
This latest news has upset the apple cart. I can see big changes regarding franchise and subsidy.
Tom and Jerry This deal is the opposite to a rights issue. Your comment " S.P. will react and be close to the tender offer on the open market". Well said, spot on that is how it will play out in my opinion.
Printing shares ( rights issue has a very negative affect on the S.P. and the value usually ends up reducing by the same amount as the discount.) buying shares back should increase the value of the S.P. by say upto 41 p depending on number returned, in the long term 6 to 12 months in my opinion.
Have a look at just Google favion for some answers,
If only it was as simple as a cake in a tin.
Good luck everybody
PYUECK
If I had a share certificate 1000 shares in one pocket and a share certificate in the other pocket for 2000 shares what would I have.
Somebody else's trousers.
We will find out soon enough lets all chill and not expect to make a penny, lets just enjoy the ride.
I am in at about 100 made massive investment in January at about 75 to lower my average.
In my opinion 100 is still a good price and company looking good at the moment. I do not expect to be disappointed.
I do not think you will be limited to one hundred shares that example was just for Loofer 1.
There may be a limit regarding the number of shares you can sell at the premium price.
The premium price may be more or less than plus 41p per share,
You may have to wait for premium payment who knows .
Loofer 1
Way I understand it is They make you an offer at 41p above market value so you sell. You can then buy one hundred shares back at market price 88.4 p.
100 shares at 129.4p = £129.40 you can buy them back same day at market price £88.40.
£41 profit for every one hundred shares you sell and then buy back.
We need the details obviously .
"favicon" have a read very unusual .
Raises more questions .
Anything come out of A.G.M. yet ?.
£300 000 000 Sustainability - linked facility, From who and why ?.
Qualifying date for special dividend is there one ?.
Before end of calendar year.
41p cash per share.
Until told otherwise I presume the dividend will be paid out in cash .
41p was the last amount I heard mentioned but not by any means carved in stone.
To the best of my knowledge dividend paid on B.A.Y.E. will be invested into shares automatically.
The S.A.Y.E. is a three year scheme not five and during this period you do not own the shares.
I have not been in either scheme for a few years but that was the original situation.
A.G.M. on 07 09 21 will coast capital 15 % stir anything else up?.
There seem to be mixed opinions on here regarding qualifying date for dividend, read back previous posts especially Page 2 7 06 21 by PYUECK and follow the link, clever but a bit opinionated even offensive at times. If you like a laugh read post by SumOverHistorys on the same page gripping post about cup and handle pattern.
I am holding only because I am in very heavy at around 100. I believe this stock is undervalued at the moment.
