Some new guys, I believe you can estimate the impact of a raise using a simple calculation, probably not perfect but close..

Using some easy numbers, close to He1..

Lets assume 600m shares in issue at 10p given a market cap of £60m at the announcement of a raise, say 10/10/22
And a 100m shares placing at 20% discount to sp 10/10/22, so 100m shares at 8p raising £8m.
So the new total shares in issue will be 700m..
And the combined value of the shares is £60m+£8m, so £68m
So the new estimated sp should be around, £68m/700m shares, so 9.7p

I suspect if there is a heavy discount the outlook is not as good as a light discount, 14.5% was the last raise and the FOMO was high..
"The Issue Price represents a 14.5 percent discount to the closing mid-market price on AIM on 15 April 2021 and a 6.4 per cent. discount to the 15 day VWAP to that date. "

Thats probably why DM is suggesting a 2022 discovery at Tai, and even if the audit is eating into Tai's drilling funds
he could raise enough to cover the cost of a single drill, and test, then take it from there. so maybe $3mm..
If he can get the FOMO going again he might pull off that raise while Tai is on going like last time, the big investors will want to be confident they can off load their shares..
Although it will be a lot faster drill this time, but he does know how to drag things out, another pinch out maybe ;)..

So much being held back, not sure He1 are certain of the final plan for 2022

Anyway probably the main reason I posted the other shares is that fact I believe they offer an opportunity to recover some of my losses here, so just sharing. But they are still risky, especially if you buy high, after missing the boat..

But if your new, or inexperienced like myself its worth reading other exploration companies RNS, especially their spud results, they are always positive even when they result in the sp tanking and can be worded so many different ways.
Predators Mou-1 spud was a classic, people buying a good result while other people were selling a duster...
Plus you can learn about funding options, placings, .types of loans(death spirals), bonds and debt financing

Then shares dont always rise to a spud, and dont necessarily fall when funds are raised, especially if they cant proceed to drill without funding...

No1, Its generally the rule not talking about other shares, but you dont learn talking one share, and your not welcomed asking anything considered negative as a new poster on other BB, and many will keep their answer to the positives, people afraid to ask questions and discuss, its kind of an unwritten control.. It means we struggle..

So dont take offence, its just what we had coming, but while there is nothing happening here we are providing some material..

Check the Months, as I get really confused once I get to 2 shares to watch...
lots going on with Ireland, last year, like other countries pushing green they were hindering exploration companies, now they are worried about fuel, lots being posted by EOG posters.. Italian just lost a legal case for doing the same, explorer won its case..

Remember how ADV played out, never really reached a good price until days before results expected, plenty of dips...
There are a few due to spud end of September and into October
EOG Mid Sept, maybe a date given?
ECO End Sept, rig is on its way
PRD Sept/Oct, Rig named..
DELT Oct, with Shell, pattern maybe forming..

So time to start looking at some life style companies with massively upgraded resources after nothing much and funding lining up..

Since the 100s are all at the same time, that will be a free trading account and a PI breaking up the trade so that its put through faster, they tend to get submitted in batches like a fair ground ride does not go until enough cars are filled..
And the UT sets the price

@DD13, I think he is popping over to stick a boot up a few backsides, and check the cap on Tai-1...

@Legalwolf, could be buying it as its for sale, would save this rig availability issue.
Then again maybe MIDAK are buying it with He1 contracting it at rate that covers the purchase, especially if its believed it wlll be needed for multiple discoveries..

There were two predators in Texas, at 1/2 the price, described as field ready..
Since the Rig has been on the market for many years, and others were available at 1/2 the price I expect some bargaining has been done..

But it would be nice to know everything else is lining up too..
They said they were funded and Tai is the target, so whats inevitably needed could be done in advance, that would help add some confidence, even if its paper work..

@Chesh, thanks for the info, never thought a standard listed company would consider moving to AIM,

Took a look and I have paid stamp duty on some Ftse100 last year..
Apparently No stamp duty on AIM and High Growth Sector shares .
PRD prospectus said Standard listing, so not sure why I did'nt pay stamp duty.

Rules are confusing but
It could be because PRD do not maintain a share register in the UK, and are not UK incorporated
