Then matching the figure in the presentation Adjusted pretax profit, on the other hand, multiplied to GBP37.0 million from GBP1.1 million..

Bots, probably should have said algorithm based trading machines, which I get the impression actively listen for inputs.

So I assume these inputs will be tuned towards the company stock they trade so apparently for tech and high growth companies interest rates hit their future earning when using discounted cash flow, and hits their debt repayments... thats generally the idea I get from reading, the rest over my head. Plus the cost of electricity which they will use vast amounts and totally dependent on..

I believe as long as the economy is strong interest rate hikes benefit banks, people pay more for their loans and dont default so much...

If they both move down then things are not looking too good, maybe ?

I have a feeling its another no news week..
Vodafones share price graph is mainly the result of bot trades, as its on a downward trend it could signify future earning are going to impacted by interest rate increases
If a financial stock that benefits from interest rate increases, with significant bot trades is increasing then that could back that theory up while at the same time suggest inflation is coming down and moving away from stagnation..
Any thoughts on that theory

Is that because we will be in a recession and skint, all within 6 months?

I think if we all buy beer instead of food two things will happen....
1.Beer demand will lead to increase in production which will bring better economies of scale and reduced pricing
2. The lack of demand for food will mean supermarkets will be struggling to clear shelves for next deliveries, and prices will be slashed
2. People wont be able to drive bringing down demand for fuel
2. People wont feel the cold reducing demand for heating
2. inflation will come down

If we have a bad RNS then the share price will drop, if no RNS then the price will drift until people make their own minds up..
A bad RNS may get a big reaction and opportunity to chance the bottom and bounce, so traders are probably watching like hawks.
If your holding it maybe an opportunity to bring your average down lots, or gain some cash back on the bounce..

A good RNS, and people will be buying like crazy at these prices, Could be Rig & Raise to take advantage the relief and buying that will come...

@Skittish, that licence was renewed, and I get the impression $740k is likely a payment for 12 months, as 2020 & 2021 fees are both $676,684 or close to that..

Putting up interest rates, is usually to stop people fueling inflation through spending borrowed money..
But people are having to cut back, and we have inflation..
Not sure about the availability of easy credit either
I just had my credit card temporarily stopped because I unintentionally missed a payment, minimum payment was about £6.. So just £6 to keep the card working and not get a letter warning of ruining my credit rating.. I had already paid in full before the letter, what a fuss..
