Odd thing is last trade printed yesterday was 500k at full Ask at the time given, ..so our suspected seller on size, makes me think the time stamp is on completion of the order so appears as a buy..

With out the blow out protector if there was a sudden uncontrolled build up of pressure anything down the hole would spurt out like a fountain, in our case the drilling mud and gases.. So they probably did'nt start drilling for helium until after the BOP was installed.. So its good news as we should'nt have been expecting a show before commissioning the BOP and can push our expectations of an early show update back a couple of days...I hope..

Bad news is we dont know when it was taken, and if the are drip feeding us delayed updates..

But they are in sequence, conductor pipe, surface casing pipes no longer on rack behind Lorna in twitter video, then BOP...

@PortfolioPower, Good point, but they came up dry, and Tai has already been drilled so they should have a good idea..

Just had another look at the BOP, just looks to be a single annular preventer, a big rubber seal, that can seal around the drill pipe, or empty well.. no rams that I can see.. I guess if the drill pipe is hollow it will vent gases high above..

@Tro, I think its a mix of both our suggestions, I guess its there to cut off the flow in emergencies so can happening during drilling and production...

With He1 drill, since both Nitrogen and Helium are inert, and there was no mention of a BOP in phase 1 I wonder if its just precaution.. But is there a risk of nitrogen asphyxiation if we have a big find... Now that makes you wonder what they know...
