You may be referring to me, but I didn't say geological failures...
I was saying I am not sure they have commercial discoveries from the results given at the time..
Noble initially quoted figures that are close to background levels, x3 and gave the fluid sample as the highest concentration.. so the lab result is a massive improvement..
I actually posted helium production figures from a Geothermal spring which I believe was around 2% helium.. Not much interest was shown, thread short lived.. So never wrote that off. That still bodes well for Rukwa with its hot springs and a Geothermal plant near Mbeya..
Noble have given 2,75% for a ~15m crest, but not sure if they given the size of the resource based on the crest, of which they should have a good idea from the seismic , Volume=Area x height stuff.. That would give a really big clue, info probably there somewhere.. But they have invested heavily from the own pockets.. so exciting,
He1, initially gave just 0.01% compared to DMs 2.2% show(mud sampling I think), so didn't sound so promising x200 difference.. Even now you have a 4.75% sample, but no idea how long, or how well it flowed.. Unlike Noble no details of the reservoir heights at Itumbula, and associated samples.... but that 4.75% is top end approximate to the value used to estimate the P10 resources..
Of all the information they collected they have only given the helium and hydrogen samples gas concentrations... so far..?
88e had that jar of oil, ....
The winners are the guys who bought in the low and sold before full results,
Anyway I am no geologist, and even the experts who spend millions drilling get it wrong more often than not.. There is a lot of luck involved, and lets hope both companies are really lucky..
