it is a matter of being sensible and careful but being ready just incase a massive bull run does come. you will only have one window of opportunity. late to the party and you will suffer. you also need to know what you are doing. interesting times ahead anyway. big bull runs end up in disaster but not before the bottom feeders clever enough and quick enough to spot it make big returns and then out.

in the next few years could this happen.. all booms had pain that wiped many investers out. for example tech boom shares dropping from 2 quid to 10p before rises to 30 quid... oil and gas boom. exite as an example a pound to 2p and then to 4 quid... crypto stuff. arb as an example 5p to 3 quid. it is unreal the gains from the bottom to the top and when the herd turns up big time. money making more money until the top is finally reached. so history shows you have to go through alot of pain before this could happen. all of these booms, tech, oil, crypto from the bottom to the top you get rich if you are in and know what you are doing.. so we should all be asking ourselves. could pot stocks have a big bull run in the next few years. if so seed will benefit big time. all of them big bull runs showed the same thing. massive pain before the biggest life changing returns can be made. whatever happens this is how it is.

so doggo is great at research but fails on technical trading which means he lost. quint and matador are just useless. longlad is dodgy as **** . which leaves midas and barwickman doing the right thing.

have i got this right over the last five years. quint is hopeless. matador and doggo are always bullish watching shares drop from 29p to 2p. donnel is 105 with rigor mortis setting in hoping for a return on his 17 p buy. midas correctly was bearish alot of the time. barwickman woke up and stopped listening to doggo and matador. he then made some money trading.

bunsen said in 2 weeks rather than rises every day . it always takes longer unless something comes out wrong footing people. funny how people twist posts on here. if someone says i think the share price will be higher does not mean it will rise every day. keep eating them beans novum boy. they are at least good for you. and remember buying in at 2.7 and selling at 2.5 with selling charges on top will lose you money. lol.

small profit taking will always happen on the way up . a few weeks from now and it will probalby be more than 3p to buy.

so no wonder people are mad with ed. so ed **** your bonus and ****en by some shares in seed putting it bluntly. lol. hopefully we will do ok from here but in anycase he needs to get his act together.

i know this is a bit different but can you imagine going out for a meal. the meal is crap and service is poor but you paid good money. the bill had on it extra for tips, bonuses for bosses etc. what. the point is you would never go back and refuse to pay the bonuses, tips etc for a crap expensive meal. in the end new management needs to be brought in. ed is doing this every year. getting a bonus while not helping to get real shareholder value. no one should expect in a year miracles but 5 years and bonuses. give over. infact pass the sick bucket.

midas. interesting. so ed reckons he is worth a big bonus. we all beg to differ. clearly after 5 years with an 80 percent drop in share price ed needs to get a few things in his head.. firstly no way does he deserve any bonus. if the share price has done well and investers are happy he can have a bonus. as it stands it should be 0 bonus. enough is enough. secondly if he thinks he is worth paying very well then he needs to buy alot of shares in seed out of some of that money. no ifs, no buts. associates, staff and maybe family should buy. i mean the shares are going cheap anyway. thirdly if he wants another 5 years then he needs to make some good timely investments. a bonus every year. lol. ed , man get your act together. you look stupid taking a bonus every year when shares have ended 80 percent down.

doggo. sounds promising. defo worth keeping an eye on pot stocks in america and see how they are reacting.

see if this stays in the blue today. no real volume but blue is blue in this game. any feel good factor will do. holding up very well from the bottom which is a great sign going forward.

midas. well done on your gains in private equity etc. your time will come here also hopefully. some you win, some you lose and some you lose but if you know what your doing you can still end up winning over time. people are mad on here and it is understandable. seed has been a nightmare.. however we are where we are. looking forward and there is a glimmer of hope of better time ahead

midas. no idea about scottish mortgage but they seem like pretty decent returns for an investment trust. many moons ago i did put money in unit trusts and investment trust but returns were very small. a point you made about scottish mortgage with a 100 percent gain over 5 years. that is fine and well done to that trust. however some investers here by aim stocks for bigger returns. as you know some aim stocks can make a 100 percent gain in a day, week or month. they can make a thousand percent gain before scottish mortgage investment trust starts moving. people should be here for big short to medium returns and willing to take a higher risk on. this is not scottish mortgage. little downside with slow growth over the years where you might eventually double your money if you do not need the money before then.

midas. i suppose that is the point. the management does the trading of buying and selling companies within the trust and you make good returns over 5 years with less risk.. but it is flawed and even more so for smaller investers. many investment trusts make very little over 5 years for there investers. far too many stocks invested in with the charges. they make money for the management and promoted by advisors. unit trusts were similiar. investers make little in the long term in general. so the only way to make money is what you said. you have to do the buying and selling yourself. and that is the shares itself. using the lows and the spikes.

you mean the difference between a trader and people that fall in love with companies on the aim market due to being gullible enough to everything aim management companies say and also bullish chat board posters who are bullish forever. the results are traders win hands down. if the lessons are not learned then you will end up with the same results. never easy but traders cut out the bull.

seed is high risk but not as high risk as many other aim companies. for example look at a load of aim companies that have gone bust and others where shares are worth 0.3 over the years seed has been going. seed has done badly but many aim stocks have done worse. on the other side of the coin you also have if seed does well it will do way better than any investment trust. so if things do come off you have the perfect stock to be in. not as bad as other aim stocks but with all the potential of big growth and big returns over a time period from the bottom to the top. the future becomes an open book. you really should be feeling more comfortable in this stock right now.

midas interesting point about investment trusts. to me seed is a hybrid between an aim stock and an investment trust. it is not really a proper investment trust as it would probalby be investing in at least 40 companies diluting your investment as investment trusts do. they are less risk and less volatile but any big winner in portfolio you do not benefit from the gain alot as diluted with less money in between many companies. if seed was an investment then it would invest in far too many companies diluting all the investments. hence less risk but small returns over a long period. seed is more or less a high risk aim company with a little bit of investment trust in it. the best of both worlds will not happen. an investment trust is unlikely to make really big returns and there is still some risk. seed could because it is aim company pretending to be an investment trust which it certainly is not.

i suppose after a few years out of the game and a clear mind now i look at it a bit different. sometimes you should be more invested, sometimes less and sometimes not in the market at all. a five year plan to make money would work if you know what you are doing. so take the last 6 months in seed. 4p to 7p and currently 2.5 to 2.9 should of been the times in seed. taking a profit on the 4p buy. barwickman did that . what it proves is sometimes after taking profit you should get out altogether. wait a while for the next approx bottom and then get back in. it is not just patient waiting for a profit. it is patient getting back in. this clearly will save you money and more chance of a profit waiting for it. of course how the company progress over the next 5 years counts but no doubts about it. sometimes waiting and being bored makes you money. on leveraging clear signs needed before you up your game and only if you can afford to. and even then get ready to sell. a big profit on paper is no good if you sit there dreaming of being up there with elon musk and do not sell in time. your hope is the next few years and critical learning from past mistakes. right now it is just continue to wait for a better profit on the 2.4/ 2.5/ 2.6 buys.
