that is the thing. you would of looked at a 1 million profit and that is totally life changing. understanding it is just a paper profit until you sell you would have sold. also if you checked previous booms you would of moved so fast to get out. you would of worked it out. i am going to lose a million pounds at some point if i do not sell and get carried away. it is worth noting when it is happening the intraday day share price at the end of the day may give some clues if it is to go higher. what it does if you get into a boom in the future you will know what to do. buy on the dips and pullbacks on the way up and sell when you make a fortune. do not go back in. the problem why most have lost on arb is not doing research on previous booms/ not been in previous booms. that research would tell you what is going to happen on the way up and down. the next boom the same thing will happen. just make sure your on the right side of it .

one other thing. i suppose if you make a fortune for yourself it is time to get out anyway. why risk a rare made fortune. the tech boom and oil and gas boom were the same. big money and then big losses. any invester being through these booms before and were in arb would of known exactly what to do. that experience would of made him/her fortune. the worst situation in a boom is not understanding just how far the shares will go back from the top and getting greedy. when the shares hit 3 quid and then started to come down anyone saying it would go back to 5p would of been laughed at. impossible they would say. fast forward a year or so and there it is. back to 5p and today less. so this is the point. anyone even buying in this stock now is likely to lose money. it could end up 0p.

harchris. that is good advice. i agree most of the time it is hard to make money. also sometimes you should have less money in the market and bear markets and on aim nothing in at all. keep your powder dry so to speak. putting more in only when it is looking better. however with booms they are the same so making money with great timing and losing money with bad timing in the boom. they all fit the same criteria. up alot and then down alot. so if you studied passed booms and you were in arb you would of known what was going to happen . and exactly like previous booms it did happen. worth noting for future ref.

xenor. that is true some companies do grow from small to larger companies on fundamentals. not many and they take some finding. most do not on aim/ small company markets. what we are on about here is booms where loads in the same sector go up fast and then back down. this was about how you could get your timing right, make a paper fortune quickly and then lose it with greed and fear. and yes. never buy a share that multibags quickly as your likely to buy near to the top. so a couple of ways to make a fortune. a rare small cap turning into a large company over time and a boom getting in early. the latter needs playing your cards right.

yes. i will pop on this board from time to time for a chat. just one other thing . booms from the past actually show what was going to happen to arb on the way up and on the way down. 2 examples. the tech boom. geo interactive 12p to 35 quid a share and then back down. oil and gas boom. exite energy. 2p to 4 quid a share and then back down to 1p and then suspended and bust. many other examples over the years. so it was nailed on what has happened to arb. next time you will be prepared. cheers. bud.

it is weird. in a boom early on in a stock you need only buy on the dips on the way up. be patient and then when the final herd turns up. sell, bank your money and enjoy. get out and no more worries. that is it. chat boards like this will be full of it is going higher but when the top is hit that is it. after that the shares given time always come right back down. there will be a next time if you survive the game. just make sure you know the rules. buy on the dips on the way up, be patient and then sell , sell, sell and go away at least for a while.

no problem bud. never fall in love with any company. when you have made big paper profits like with arb it is tempting to think i love this company. i have made all this money. i am not selling. arb forever. the pour some cold water over your head and think what the money will do for you, your wife, family if you sell. as for the future. look at a 5 year view. make sure you have some money safe. at some point you may hit another boom early on. if you do you will know what to do. you can plan and exit when the time is right.

even if you do not buy on the way down which will be a disaster you must sell your paper fortune that you made and turn it into real money. the irony it takes seconds to sell money banked in a few working days and your laughing.. booms always have the same outcome. you can get rich but it is what you do when boom is coming to the end. not selling and buying on the way down with greed and fear going on inside your head. the result. you have blown it. if you get another chance at some point remember paper profits until you sell.

experience of booms and busts would of got you out and you would of stayed out. your timing was great on the way up. buying on the dips on the way up and being patient as the boom took hold. however the big profits are on paper until you sell. you then made the fatal mistake. getting really greedy, not selling/ not selling all shares and buying on the way down. all booms are the same and on aim. if you make a paper fortune on aim get out and stay out. enjoy your money.

it does not say it is coming out of suspension tomorrow. if it does probalby about 70 percent down from closing price of 6p. harsh but that will likely be the case.
