A major rough diamond tender featuring Zimbabwean stones was held in Dubai by Koin International DMCC from May 22 to 25, 2025, at the Dubai Diamond Exchange (DDE) Trading Floor in Almas Tower. The event showcased original Zimbabwe rough diamond production, including parcels ranging from melée (small stones) to single stones over 10.80 carats, as well as run-of-mine (ROM) assortments.
The tender included rough diamonds from Zimbabwe, notably parcels recently released after years of legal and administrative disputes. A significant portion of the offering was a historic parcel originally totaling 129,400 carats, which had been held in custody by the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe (RBZ) for over 15 years due to a protracted dispute involving Vast Resources, a UK-based mining company.
As of early June 2025, the tender process had concluded, but specific financial results (such as total sales value, average price per carat, or major buyers) had not been publicly disclosed in the available sources.
