I have to say I am impressed with Mitch. When TCW sails off into the sunset, I think we are in safe hands if he can deliver what he has outlined. I have scaled back my holding over the last year or so as the sp has risen but SQZ is still by far the my biggest holding. On the basis of what Mitch has said, I will keep what I have for the forseeable future. This is a gem of a company.

Tbh I had never heard of Decipher but it shows that others still see potential in UK NS assets....

soutie - oh I'm hanging on. Tightly! I have had the "pain" so feel I have earned some gain!

Certainly doesn't do any harm to be ticking the "sustainability" box (cynical of me I know...) given the troubles that Vale have got themselves into. Keeping the locals "on side" can never do any harm. Good stuff, but I wish we had something that would move the SP.

fd, I completely agree that posts intended to manipulate the sp, either up or down, to suit one's position are unpleasant. However, they are usually transparent in my experience.
I also agree that research is fundamental to good decision making with one's investments. Buit I maintain that there is still a place for (informed and balanced) speculation, as it may highlight possibilities to others that they had not considered.
When push comes to shove, anyone investing in an AIM listed comnpany is a "speculator" to a greater or lesser degree, however well researched. IMO.

fd, noted. But isn't that what these boards are for? None of us has perfect information on which to base our decisions so by definition we have to base them on speculation/best guess. By the time we have perfect information, the opportunity for returns is greatly reduced.

sw42 - I wish I knew what is holding this back! I've been in for over a year and as the news gets better the price gets lower! There MUST be a realisation of the value here at some point.....

I am not sure anyone is saying that it IS a good time for a placing, certainly as far as existing holders are concerned. That never seems to stop AIM listed companies in the past though!
Another farm out involving some carried drill costs would be a good support but lets see what happens with the other negotiations.

Like others, I am intrigued by the purchase of Algy's shres by IPGL. MS obviously is keen to have greater exposure here which begs the question (asked by others) as to what his endgame is? I think Dick mentioned that MS would struggle to offload 12% on the open market with catastrophic consequenecs for the SP, so presumably he sees a take over as his way out?
As to when and at what value, I guess we are going to have to get much closer to production before true value is realised. At the very least, after the 3D seismic is completed and a programme of targets worked up.
On that basis, I don't think a placing is anything to be unduly scared of. It would be incomprehensable if MS was NOT keen to take a substantial part of any raise. I would even suggest that there is strong possibility that he will be tapped up for a private placement - I believe so long as he stays below 30%, he would not have to launch a takeover. There would be no better way (IMO) for him to gain maximum exposure without buying on market and pushing the price up siginificantly.
On that basis, I am looking to increase my exposure here from "toe in the water" to "significant".
All speculation on part and no advice intended!

Nothing on the ground until Spring thaw - late March early April. Planning going on for the next test. Hold or buy in anticipation IMO.

Another 2m options. Total options now nearly 10% of share capital. However, I am minded to think that at 4.8p and vesting in 6,12, and 18 mths, they must think that we are going to move on up. And probably soon, hence granting now.

PP - Interesting figures! I am SO frustrated that this potential is just not being reflected in the MC. Good to see that there is some strong buying this morning. Hope it will move up during the day.....I have a bunch of shares and a £1k pp SB so would like some positive returns!!

I would be furious if the BOD accpeted a bid anywhere below 10p.....
