Good afternoon Alastair,
I hope that you are well, I imagine that you are a teeny bit peed off with the emails from us lowly shareholders requesting answers as to why the communications from Avacta are so dire!
I am 58 years old and have put everything I have into your company including my pension - I now have 200,000 shares having purchased another 5 tranches ( total 25000 shares ) since the New Year. I am, therefore, totally and utterly dependant on your company to be able to enjoy a comfortable retirement in 2 years time.
Why has the market capital dropped by a third since Science Day? I was expecting quite a decent increase in the share price which would have allayed any worries I might have had at the back of my mind. I am 150% sure that everything will turn out fine but it isn't nice to see.
Also, the communications from Avacta to your shareholders are very poor - we need to be much better informed as to what is going on. I know that a lot of information is confidential and cannot be shared but there are literally hundreds if not thousands of very disgruntled people. PLEASE, just talk to us!
The talk amongst us Avacta shareholders over the last 3 years, as you are most definitely aware, is that this is a one in a million opportunity for us to hit the big time! Not just as shareholders to make money but as people who have lost and seen friends and relatives suffer to the dreaded C to be on the brink of a product to improve their quality of life.
Should Avacta pause Diagnostics for the time being to concentrate and preserve cash for the Therapeutics? Only until the market capital reflects the progress to date.
We do not want to have weekly updates as we do not want to detract you and your colleagues from the important work that you are doing.
Just!!!!
Well you know what I mean.
Thank you for taking the time to read this email and I wish you and Avacta the very best of luck and health.
Regards, Sent only yesterday. Just had a very nice email from Alastair, things in motion to improve comms.
