The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
This does not sound like it detects early to me. Far lower percentage success rate and good at detecting advanced cancers. Ciz detects Lung cancer at Stage 1 with a higher percentage success rate.
The test correctly revealed two-thirds of cancers among those in the study. In 85% of those positive cases, it was also able to pinpoint the original site of cancer. It was more accurate in older patients, and those with more advanced cancers, according to the trial results.
Not necessarily greedy directors, more strategic I would think. My previous business was bought out by a multi billion european business. The deal was made to fully acquire the business after a 3 year period with Share Options granted to all existing Directors (of which I was a minor shareholder) on a yearly gateway following the deal being signed.
We have all been chatting about the potential for the business to be bought out by the big boys. Could it be that an acquisition deal is being explored which would result in the options being exercised over the next couple of years as they are bought out by a larger business?
Been a fantastic couple of weeks and I fully agree Neil whilst there is no formal news announcements the price will go up and down. But if the general trend remains upwards then that will be a great springboard for the price post news updates.
I recall a post that someone made early days in BOU or PSL, I can’t remember who made the post may have even been RKBeekeeper! but somebody had spoken to either Allan or Martin Lampshire before he resigned and Allan came in. Or IFC advisory or maybe even Antos. It was at the time before the RTO and people were jittery about the take over, the delisting etc.
But the words stuck with me. And the more that we have learned and the more positive news that we have had on progress and the potential we have I did and still firmly believe those words which were
‘You are very lucky to be part of this’
Looking forward to the future for all of us and looking forward to seeing a genuinely life changing product and technology eventually hit the market.

Commenting, Dr Hui Wu, CEO and Founder of iCCAMT said:
"This agreement represents a significant opportunity to bring early and cost-effective cancer detection to the people of China. It is estimated that about 95.8 million people in China have a high risk of lung cancer and if screening was performed every three years, then more than 30 million tests per year would be required. At a target price of about £100 per test, the total available market for tests based on the CIZ1B biomarker would be £3 billion. (Frost & Sullivan estimates the market size in China is US$5.7 billion). We have already secured strong interest from our nationwide network of national clinical centers and key opinion leaders because of the promising results using the CIZ1B biomarker for lung cancer early detection in the UK and one our first tasks is to commence pilot studies at the Cancer Hospital, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, National Cancer Centre, and Beijing Cancer Hospital, affiliated with Peking University."
It could be. Don’t think we will know for sure unless a TR1 comes but it did note it was via nominee accounts in the prospectus. So not sure if we will see a TR 1.
It could also be Alan Miller from Skegness who fancied a punt but either way it’s a big punt whichever Alan Miller it is
In the newly issued prospectus you will see an increase in holding of a person called Alan Miller holding increased from 2.34% to 4.73%
Not sure if it is this person but if so then that is a big chunk of change he has just put in.... interesting
Miller founded Universal Health Services, a chain of hospitals and other health providers, in 1979.
The company has more than 400 facilities across the US and UK and brings in $11 billion in annual revenue.
In January 2021, Miller stepped down as CEO and his son Marc Miller now runs the company.
Miller remains the executive chairman of UHS's board of directors.
He is also the CEO of Universal Health Realty Trust, which invests in medical buildings.
Hopefully the AZD1656 will give the price a nice little boost when any news is available but it is our cancer test and the potential deals around that which really excite. As Neil mentions below if there is any potential NHS deal along with the US and China news received to date then surely we can do a little better than Artemis 1 did the other week, and actually take off.
Not seen any posts from Neil for a while has anyone heard from him? hope all is ok sir if you are reading the boards.
A welcome RNS today and hopefully more good news soon on the CIZ bio marker reagents and test progress but overall all good ‘baby steps’ in the right direction
