In terms of the share price, interest rate rises have only been bad for metro. You never know, lower interest rates might actually have an adverse effect. As ridiculous as this sounds.

Ah the old short chat again, I remember by gone days when the large odey short meant a big short squeeze was imminent and prices would ramp accordingly, called out that nonsense at the time and calling it out again now, ANY short exit will be slow and controlled with little to no impact on share price, seen it all before and posted here about it

None of that matters, if it did we wouldn't be here. Can keep saying but there's this, or that, or how etc. Reality is the business has not progressed in the last 2-3 years, interest rates are outside of the boards control, so look at what they've actually achieved in 3 years rather than get drawn into the interest rate side of it, and the board have actually achieved, well, NOTHING.

The board are a joke, The C-level were brought in to turn the company around and bring value to shareholders. They've failed badly, the company has only started delivering profitable quarters due to increasing rates. Without that where would metro have been?. Even with the major increase in rates the share price is worse than its ever been and poor management via a press release they didn't even need to release has led to the share price pretty much halving in 2. Time for serious board members to come in, who actually know how to run a business and run it well, jokers the lot of them.

Metro are a joke, pure and simple, and not a good one. I will never understand why they posted that recent press release, the board seem to be really good at being bad. Never thought we'd see these levels again.

I think jimjam said earlier, why did metro bother saying anything about this, everyone was just thinking it was a long term aim anyway. They must've known it would cause a negative reaction and its been a major one, can't help but question the board at times, and on this occasion, question them big time

It is a bad outcome. Without question, let's not try to butter it up as anything else please, misleading to suggest it's anything other than a bad outcome, especially considering the stated long term aim by the board was to achieve this.
