Not sure why barclays are even being mentioned here, there is absolutely nothing to be taken from barclays that is of use to potential metro results and the resulting outcome.
Lol, I've quoted a range of £1.30 to £1.50 going back months, £3 in the next couple of years, I really don't know what planet some people are on at times. I've called out nonsense posts where people said the SP would reach £2 to £3 prior to Xmas, mad
Buy backs lol
And at least i understand the loss making concept, should really do your research
Pretty accurate if you ask me, currently much closer to 1.30 than £2-£3
Lack of serious directors buys isn't great
So harsh, unfortunately there's a huge issue with that theory, odey increased their short holding from under 0.5% to around 3% in mid Nov, the return to profit news from metro was released at the start of November, it was also known at that stage that rates were increasing, so why increase it after the outlook has became positive?
Harush, odey has massively reduced his short holding before, why should anyone pay anyone pay attention to that considering he's increased it massively again?
Jimjam, I wish I knew the answer to your question but I don't, I just take the view that nothing is as it seems when it comes to the stock market, I know that's not helpful but I'm not going to act like I know the answer to your question when I dont
Happy to explain further if you need me to how that is possible
Deary me Plutus, a return to profit in a given month doesn't mean a return to profit overall
My prediction is metro will still be loss making, won't be opening new branches anytime soon, margins will have improved, cost base reduction. Generally I believe results will be good but share price will stabalise around £1.45. The market always knows before the small guys, the recent increase is reflective of upcoming results in my opinion. Those expecting a significant rerate or increase will be disappointed, those who are in it for the long haul will be happy as results will demonstrate further progress.
Boom directors buy of £148
Just to bring to people's attention who aren't aware, odey has massively reduced his short holding before increasing it again on numerous occasions in the past, it's all there to see on short tracker for all to see, therefore best not to take this as evidence of any sea change with metro.
Lol what on earth are you talking about, on the grand scheme of it those aren't big buys, and when you factor in the sells on a similar scale they're just balancing each other out
Lol
Lol jimjam, you're spot on, exactly why I said it was a baseless comment.
Normally best to ignore people who's comments actually make no sense, rather than the other way about.
Lol accountant, what a baseless comment, you remember me from other boards
In simple terms, no
I'm not shooting metro down, I think its a good long term investment, I'm just fed up of people continually ramping it with ridiculous estimates of what share price will jump to, therefore I try to bring a bit of realism on this forum, as I've said a few times, have a look back at my posts and you'll see I've never been far off the mark with metro, unlike others with wild predictions
