Depends on the SIPP provider. Some don’t allow “full” control allowing you to invest in whatever you like. Sone have a “list of funds” to choose from.

I’d suggest the average person doesn’t even know where they’re invested, fully. They just have an XYZ fund and leave it there for far too long whilst it underperforms whilst charging them too much
