Great question and nobody knows. POG said that they were selling gold to non sanctioned Russian entities. No idea what quantity was being sold so it could be stock piling or could be sold, if so where’s the cash?

Someone clued up with administrations with another twist that could happen. Basically totally agreeing with the whole Russian side of things and the problems it will cause BUT if the administrators can sell the company as a going concern or sell the assets before any bankruptcy claims are made / enforced then it puts it back into the UK’s hands, legally, again. As the monies would go to the PLC, then UK administrators would decide its fate.

So still some hope, not much. But a resolution needs to be found UK side before it is Russian side.

Can you imagine Putin sitting at a desk replying personally to every email that is sent in. Try fitting that into running an entire country………

Yes the subsidiaries were used as guarantors for the debt. That information is publicly available.

All the data is out there and I get frustrated when people don’t post the right information. Trying to convince others. Something that isn’t technically correct.

I’ve also read that we have 2 creditors to worry about. UMMC & Nordic are both involved. Both want repaying. Both capable of doing it through the Russian courts.

I’d be more comfortable if it was all UK related and we could hope of a better result but a Russian court isn’t going to care about us poor UK investors. They’ll look after their own first. And bearing in mind the huge sell off on MOEX a lot of Russian investors will have had the chance to bail out. I also believe, I have read it somewhere, that the Russian government have some kind of protection in place for their investors to make a claim. (Unsure of the details and can’t be bothered to look that one up)

And finally. Note they are LLC companies……

You may have come across the term LLC (limited liability company). This is a US business structure that is essentially the same as a private limited company. LLC does not exist as a separate structure in the UK.

Not sure about the US thing as they are Russian companies but note LLC dos not exist in the UK.

Why would they apply to anyone in Russia I they were UK companies, therefore dictated by UK laws?

The only thing in the UK is the PLC itself.

All assets / subsidiaries are 100% Russian.

The PLC is an empty shell, the entire business is subsidiaries and not UK companies.

Also remember that MOEX gave investors an extra day of trading when we got suspended. Most would have been dumping then. Big day of trading and I suspect nearly all sells.
