I should add: that's why companies with an unexpected windfall rarely do buyback. Tender offers are a better option in those cases, but that doesn't apply here.

Buyback do not " return cash to shareholders". Theoretically, they raise NAV per share and hence price. Often doesn't work out that way. Look at CAML.

I m NOT fan of buybacksunless NAV is way., way above sp. And even then I'm dubious unless there's a clear exit strategy.

THX is doing the right thing , reward holders with a divi, keep some cash for project finance.

In short, buybacks are a great way to waste cash on an accounting metric that often fails to reward holders.

That's my view too. BUT.....with the caveat that nobody really knows. As a #THX holder I think I have to take a view, but there are no certainties in this world.
