RE: UK 66m. EU 447m. INDIA 1.4B. WORLD 8B.20 Jun 2021 15:53
Last year they all talked about India and tried to get their test approved. Odx and ncyt got approval in few months but for gdr it took 8 months to get approval. Even after approval they haven’t managed to sell even a single test in India. It is a very complicated place to do business

Not trying to scare anyone. It’s this sentence from the rns “ As announced at the Interim results in November 2020, Omega has now established its technology transfer team”. Why didn’t say the tech transfer was initiated in November?.

I’m sorry if this had been discussed earlier. Was reading the RNS and it is clear that they haven’t even started the tech transfer and they need to start the tech transfer first and produce tests for the CE mark. It may take at least few months.
And why is everyone excited about AstraZeneca vaccine approval. I know we can use odx antibody test to check for antibodies. But I’m not convinced that any government would be spending lots of money for antibody tests after vaccine.
If you know well about GDR then you would know the answer. Their POC test is not ready yet. For PCR, my theory is that the UK government has big suppliers supplying similar tests with liquid reagents and they have trained the staff to work with these tests. Gdr is small and their test is simple but different from what the government is using currently. They may need to train staff for gdr tests which is not worth if they can’t supply enough tests.
Even if we get approval what makes you to think we will get huge order? Aren’t we little late to capture the market? By this time most government would have committed to long term supply of tests with others. They need to cancel that to buy from gdr. It is unlikely to happen. Only thing that can save gdr is fda approval and testing with BC.
