Seen this pattern many times, SP drops (SXX/FOG/VRS) while the potential builds awaiting critical bit of the puzzle then rerates with SP x4. Like you did not expect this opportunity again but have been taking advantage when funds allow.
Hypothesis. Seems much of the bigger chunky buys are post 14.00hrs and historically have been mopping up the sellers. Now the sellers have dried up our patient buyer has got MM's to kick stop losses to buy otherwise it's appetite for Shares will push the SP up rather rapidly.
My guess From the research I've seen is that the French season was potentially good for Botrytis but Spain and Italys Dry summer resulted in less fungicide application. That said there was spells of rain floating around Italy from time to time. In relation to harvest I'm hearing that in France they are 20-30% down on average which has not been seen since 1945. Generally though word seems to be across Europe that grape quantity is down but quality is very good. Agree with you Feeks that if the SP does drop it would offer a good buying opportunity especially as Eastman is on the 2019 horizon and Bayer deal is we are told round the 2018 corner. I get the impression that there is a patient background buyer hovering up all sells around 11p ish who is building or adding to a tidy stake who has high hopes for EDEN going forward. interesting times.
Encapsulating Volatile Terpenes looks like a fine looking horse to me in these days of growing Fungicide resistance and Sipcams strategic investment suggests they see commercial value in the partnerships future. They said in the AGM presentation that sales were 'forcast to grow significantly in countries entering the second year of commercialisation' so encouraging sales figures would be good news.
I think the French weather created high opportunities for Botrytis to develop but not sure how much demand well have from Italy and Spain where it was generally dry but there was rain in some areas of Italy close to harvest. I also wonder how the high temperatures effect the greenhouse humidity levels and the opportunity for Botrytis to get spread.
Obviously Ads don't = sales, I was not suggesting they did merely passing on promo info on what I was aware of. I'm encouraged by the Sipcam investment as they Know the market and after more then 2 years of working with EDEN made a strategic investment ,so based on that I'm optimistic but we'll have to wait for end of September to get a feel for how much progress is being made.
I would expect much of the detail about sales will be in the Half Yearly Report which is historically released end September. Sipcam italia have been pushing 3logy via Workshops at Distributors all round Italy, which I've been told was very informative, professional and well received. Also adverts and social media via Facebook and YouTube as well as Trade events . Sumi Agro doing much the same with 3AEY.

https://www.syngenta.com.au/news/vineyard/key-reasons-rotate-your-botrytis-fungicide-groups The reality is, there is no lineup of new chemistry coming through the system to replace such ‘broken’ fungicide groups, so we need to always plan to preserve existing groups for as long as possible.
