I believe AH knows how important it is to shareholders ( & he does attach importance to S/H) for a dividend to be reinstated.

We need sustainable TFC & he’s indicated that this will be the case from end 2025 onwards.

Provided he hits that target I would expect an announcement in the December update of dividends being restored in 2026.

Even if it is a token dividend to start with that’s fine as I understand he would like to build a cash buffer up.

I thought the benchmark re contract wins was £50m ( I seem to remember that from HR some time back) so hopefully there have been lots of smaller ones below this figure

Of course any attempts to introduce A1 in the public sector are going to be met with resistance by civil servants & officials as it will inevitably lead to job losses & that of course is not desirable as the more people the department has the bigger the budget & prestige & salaries for those at the top.

However I don’t think they’ll be able to block improvement if productivity indefinitely

I really do hope that AH is not going to be another JL with lots of talk & the promised return to FCF pushed further & further into the future.

I’m still hoping that we’ll get some really good news re sales/margins etc but on the Yellowstone presentation AH indicated a big contract win prior to Christmas & nothing has been announced.

Lack of news is concerning but presumably we’ll have to wait for Y/E results before we get any more RNS

Trisor- you don’t have to worry any more about the economy as our Chancellor has announced in Davos that it’s all fixed & tax cuts are coming. Just like KS calling for payouts to WASPI, no tax increases to working people, keep the pensioners Christmas allowance etc whilst in opposition.

Hopefully we’ll get an update on all contract wins in the March end of year statement.

I’m hoping it will include many smaller ones ( as shown by Fatsam) totalling significant amounts at margins in the 7%/8% range

I think the drop is simply due to timescales re recovery. People are losing patience.

Y/E isn’t going to be great. 1/2 year still showing negative cash flow,. Full year only positive FCF at end of year ( last quarter?). So August 2026 before constant & improving FCF.

We need some good contract wins, better than expected margins, earlier recovery than indicated or something positive out of the blue

It’s about time we got an RNS with some good contract wins.

Lots of talk about hyperscaling or whatever but no sign of it converting to sales

@Kevin Under the previous MD Jon Lewis a simplification took place & many parts were sold & debt reduced. However he didn’t tackle the underlying problems of a vast overspend so sale proceeds largely were utilised in keeping the company afloat.

Adolpho H has come in & has already implemented some £140m cost savings with another £100 m to come. He has introduced efficiency savings & improved margins in the 12 months he has been in charge ( more than JL did in 5+ years.

I think this will drift until near Y/E - unless we get some really good contract wins & then - providing he achieves the promised FCF towards the end of the year we should see a steady & constant rise over the next couple of years

@Trenners hopefully you’re right but I’m easy either way short term. It’s just that I can’t see a sustainable long term uptrend until we get FCF & dividends, some positive RNS statements with contact wins etc will of corse help

I tend to agree with Eveking & Aim, that w this will continue to drift down, as without any positive news & rather depressing Y/E accounts the short term doesn’t look great. Where I disagree is that in the longer term this remains a sound investment & further dips give an opportunity to add

Hopefully 2025 is turnaround year for the SP but we may have to wait until the end.

March Y/E we already know & it’s not too good. August 1/2 year still showing a loss & not until Last quarter FCF is predicted.

We need plenty of positive RNS with news of Contract wins, continued cost cutting, improved margins, definitely no more missing of targets & a statement (probably not until December) of Dividends being reinstated

Regarding the lengthy turnaround JL didn’t tackle the underlying problems of too many staff & duplication - & effectively wasted getting on for 4 years (& yes covid didn’t help). AH has, to give him his due, steamed in and made some pretty dramatic cost reductions (JL had penciled in £60m & AH has upped this by £190m giving us £250m in total).

Mystified how with £140m cost savings already made, £25m from data leak finished, £30m from pension costs finished we are still losing money

Simpiles - as a recent insider who understands CPI & AH pretty well I’d be interested in your thoughts about this latest update & the lack of any positive news coming from CPI

Looks like JL got out just in time. If he was still in charge CPI would have folded by now. It still makes me mad when I remember all the lies he told

I’m also worried about the lack of information on debt. Have the proceeds of the Capita 1 sale just been used as operating costs ( as per JL) or have they been used to pay down debt
