I would like to understand the decommissioning liability more. £2.3m is now due within one year. Is that a reliable estimate of cash payable or the unwinding of a prudent provision made?

Appreciate you posting still Ned and agree. But did you get a sense of the Directors wanting to buy soon? With the Egypt exit on hold for now and in the window before they test drill the 47 play, just feels a good time. There is of course always things going on which may prevent but to know they are willing to invest now too would just feel reassuring!

Im telling myself that's good as if the SD sale was off the table they surely would have said today or if the cash position worsened the Auditors would change the going concern basis. No new is good maybe!

DOH , thought there was something different afoot then, the special resolution to buy it's own shares. But it was in last year's. But if there is an intent maybe it's because SD is close .

That's my top up this morning. I haven't sold to date with a mix of hope and belief it will rise. I was reading a few articles on the energy situation in Morocco, cancelled gas lines from Nigeria etc. I have to assume the complete exit of Egypt is still on as no news otherwise. If gas is found by others it still will likely have to go through our pipes. The likes of Rath du are buying. Basically I'm in so deep that amount won't matter to me so much if lost, I will kick myself more if I don't buy at these levels and it does the unthinkable and actually rise.

Hopefully now they have the £6m loan facility secured it takes pressure off the price of the SD sale.

Random thought today was the money we had to put in escrow to pay any tax on the sale West Gharib...what a wonderful world it would be if such liabilities were netted of money due from the Egyptian government!

True but it's a big change with drops elsewhere and a new advisor with a significant position. I only just noticed the significant shareholders have been up dated. New name appeared, krassimir Katev ,and the amount held through transact nominees shot up to 12.2%. Just looking for signs of anything afoot but I thought they usually notify the updated list through a RNS

Does any one else monitor the changes? I can't tie some of the holdings that have just been updated as 31 Dec. But the noteable difference I have is Nikos monoyios. When did he dispose of his 4.69%?

There is but we are all guessing what might be happening and doing so for so long. Some reports on progress or results would help!

I'm hoping as suggested in the RNS that SD could not be sold as it was used for security. I hadn't thought of that. So hopefully things will progress quicker.

It is frustrating waiting for the news but I do wonder if the discussions Egypt is having with the IMf are having an influence. I have seen some numbers quoted that would see a rerate of the Egyptian dollar and hopefully, all I have here is hope, a beneficial knock on effect in the value our value of cash held and chance of getting it out one day if it's not part of a deal.

But the other thing I did feel was missing in the last update, was detail and any mention tion of the cash specifically . Just the sale of west gharib and south disouq.

It looks a quite a large couple of sells at a time when we all expect a better share price soon. But I only have a record of their share holding percentages not shared held. Percentage may have changed if more shares issued as part of the aleph? Guessing or hoping!

Pretty sure the fixed assets will need to be now because of accounting regs. Should be classed as held for sale and at fair value. But that is a year-end requirement so may not be applied to interims. Long time since my exams!
