Scancell founder says the company is ready to commercialise novel medicines to counteract cancer. Watch the video here.
S & T - well done with ARB. Saw its spread was 7p early on. gone up 20% today now.
I see I have my normal effect on shares - look at GGP now - my ability to pick falling shares has no limit.
Cheers C - can I change my monica to G for Grumpy LOL
I've only been to Lords twice.
1991 B&H Cup final Lancs v Worces and Hick did the damage to beat us. On the sunday went to Silverstone to watch Mansell win, watching from Copse Corner - amazing noise at the end with about 150,000 there I think. Took 4 hours to get out of silverstone.
1994 or 95 to watch Cheshire in Minor Counties Final - not quite the same as 2019 World Cup Final I guess LOL.
Hi S
Just watched a great clip on Youtube of Bumble in chat with Tommo. it shows him taking one in the groin from Jeff Thomson. Think it was 1975 at the WACA. The way DL tells it is brilliant, talking about the litesome protection stuck inside swimming trunks . David Lloyd tells some great stories.
I have great memories of meeting his team mate David Hughes a couple of weeks after the 1971 Gillette Semi-final, finisihed at 10 to 9 in the dark at Old Trafford v Glos. Lancs were 1-day kings in those days. Used to be 60 overs and 220 was a decent score before all these silly rules came in with power-plays and stuff. I like the traditional Test cricket and not a great fan of 20-20 which is not proper cricket, but enjoyed by those with less patience. It's great telling the Yanks we played for 5 days and did well to get a draw LOL
Hello S-i-d-i
Another week of radio silence has been maintained and I hope you are keeping safe and well.
If you have been watching from the distance, you will see I have taken my first plunge with GGP - just a modest 8K shares.
Hope I have not put the mockers on it for you LOL.
Take care - CSDI
Two more juggles to report.
1, Sold PDG for miserly 2% profit, to add to GSK position, which is now 22% of p/f **
2. sold HHI at an oposite loss of 2%, to add to my miniscule PFC position, which is now 7% of p/f (up from 3%)
** = expecting a reprimand from A_S for adding to a losing position in midst of big selling pressure/down trend.
I wanted to reduce number of holdings from 13, as several too small to have any impact.
Still got one with <5% of p/f which is ASEI. Need to decide whether to add to make worthwhile or sell and add to existing holding.
A terrible performance this week, dropping 1.4% of p/f value, vs the FTSE's gain of 1.3%.
It is not good when your two largest holdings GSK 22% and IMB 18% drop 7% and 3% respectively.
The addition of GGP and PFC may add some spice to the p/f, while GSK and IMB provide the ballast.
Thanks to A_S, I will be looking at some new sectors to consider, when planning to add about 7.5% in funds in the new tax year.
V - I can only do losses with my p/f. As soon as I get close to break-even everything goes ***5 up.
Can't believe I've had as many risers today as losers, but my p/f taken a right kickin as all the winners together do not cover any one of my losers - ouch.
Still added my 7th batch of GSK near end of day @1284p, to take ave cost down to 1453 from 1489. The sacrifice came from my PDG trading share - which pocketed a measly 2.36% profit.
I have got too many small pies at the moment, with 3 shares only making about 11% of p/f.
Tempted to consolidate them into my two biggies with GSK and IMB to try and trade back some losses.
Risky strategy topping up a falling-knife, but better than sitting on hands (hopefully)
Good work from the School's Head Trader again - an apple is on it's way to S.
I am sure this will motivate M,R,V et al to "up their game" LOL
Cheers - School Dunce - C
what Elon up to today ?
What is Dojecoin doing up 40%.
Surely he should be muzzled to stop all this market manipulation.
What did he say last year when Tesla SP was about $400.
"I don't understand this market SP as the company cannot be worth that much" or words to those effects
So now we have Tesla at over $800
Can someone confiscate his toys please and put him in a cell before thousnads of other innocents get trapped again like Gamestop last week
I'm only moaning 'cos I'm in pain with AV, GSK, IMB, RDSB, GGP, CEY all heading south. True C S D I style this week LOL
S - Excellent, But I am not a wine drinker so how does Spiced Rum sound - I have my own coke/pepsi to add !
I may well be topping up GSK tomorrow, but will have to sell something to fund it.
Hoping GGP has another early morning jump
Or may decide to sell up RDSB (results tomorrow) and crystallise a big loss, to back up my BP exit.
Cheers - C
Hi A_S
I was looking for something that was moving a bit, and had GGP on watch as mentioned on numerous BBs and appeared regularly on CNBC's current trades. I had noticed it had gone from 0 to 35p and back down to 22p, so followed recent recent positive newsflow and director buying. It will only be a short term trade I am sure.
I would like to get back into BERI and BRWM when chance arises, which will replace CEY, GGP and RDSB in due course.
Got a bloody nose from GSK today, but pleased to see AV and VOD doing better for a change.
Cheers - CSDI
Hi all,
My trading charges are higher than most 'cos in SIPP account with Scot Widows using Stocktrade platform.
My admin fee at 0.4% p.a was much lower than anyone else, as it includes all fees. In first 2 yrs I made a lot of ad hoc withdrawals, so nothing else to pay. Other SIPPs charge for extra or ad hoc withdrawals.
I am not a high user of trades and some months do nothing at all, as I do not have big enough fund to separate trading hence I allow myself approx 10% of overall fund for trading.
A heads up for you all. My biggest holding of GSK has been battered today.
Might be good value trade in next day or two, with ex div due in couple of weeks.
Quite often slumps on results day and then bounces back .... just a thought for you guys ....
Be warned though - I am not called C S D I without good reason !
Thanks all.
Decided to hold for now, with target of 30p.
You guys are in different league - i've only got 8K shares.
Would be able to trade if had say 25K shares.
Also my dealing costs are high with Scot widows pension £15 min to buy or sell.
I had an old SIPP with Halifax/AJ Bell where it was £11.95 and often had deals at £1.50 or £3.
Scot Widows only charge 0.4% p.a for my SIPP - whereas Hfax used to charge £150 per withdrawal on top of £150p.a admin fee. Its a case of swings'n'roundabouts.
Cheers - C
V (and any other GGPers) - I've only got small holding in GGP approx £2K. It's up 10% in just over 24 hrs.
Is it better to trade, ie sell now and expect to re-buy, or just hold and forget for long term ?
Not my normal area of investing, but looks more profitable LOL.
No worries either way - just trying to get a "traders view".
At end o the day have to make my own decision
Cheers - C
Hi Alas
Following BP's poorly received results today I sold BP this morning at 258p taking a 15% loss after just 2 weeks since buying. The results outlook did not encourage me to hold. Maybe go back to these shares later if attractive enough.
Used the funds to go for something with growth potential - very risky by my standards - but with 5% of the p/f not a killer if goes wrong and good chance of better return.
Bought GGP @ 25.15p
Morning all
Rare activity on CSDI SIPP
Just sold BP at 15% loss after just 2 weeks !
Joined the GGP Greatlanders - buy @ 25.15p - my first foray with these

PS. Still got plenty of January work in progress - great tactic to avoid domestic chores with Mrs CSDI

Hello Sidi, just want to check you are stocked up for your morning coffee !
No need to talk shares - and I'm pleased to get to the end of January.
