There isn’t anything in the share price action to suggest the news was anything other than good. Over the last few days the sp has increased markedly on the rumour. When the news broke there was always going to be a sell off ( it’s what happens when you have a decent run up to it). The selling was simply the speculators getting their short term gains.
So, now we are left with the SP back up to where it was when the day started which supports the news being positive. If it wasn’t we’d be back to 1.4p . Maybe it will rise now into the next news ?
Sold out at a loss. This is going one way and one way only . The land is worthless as there is no oil down there, let’s face it. Dave will have to raise and the dilution will just make this share even less attractive. I suspect if he fell into a room of breasts he’d come out sucking his thumb, he’s that inept.
I did try to warn people this was looking questionable, unfortunately the likes of Jiddy with his exclamation marks and inability to look at anything from another view sucked too many people in to this. Good luck to everybody, apart from one, still holding - please try to have a balanced view of this company and don’t allow certain rampers on this board to mislead you.
Mornington . Yes, and how many people will die of suicide if this runs out of control, overwhelms the NHS and causes thousands upon thousands more loved ones to be lost than is necessary ? How many suicides will be caused among health workers who are having to play god and decide who lives and who dies - something they should never have to do ?
And your 50% is entirely baseless and made up. The real figure will be closer to 5%,
Nonsensical Trump talk is that way ———————————————->
The virus impacts us because investors will want to move their money to safe havens like gold rather than high risk stocks. Let’s not forget we have no oil at the moment so we are not even an oil business - it’s speculative
lp - BP employs 73000 around the world. I very much doubt that every single one of them knows about the intricacies of previous drills, let alone one which was 30 years ago.
I’m not questioning the BP persons credentials but there are so many verticals and layers in any large organisation that it’s unlikely they are aware.
Pipster - you are right to ask the question. Sorry about Jiddy but if the question does not suit his narrative then he can get quite aggressive. I mean, having a balanced view of potential is a bad thing right - you should invest only based on potential positives and never look at the other side . Said no one with any ounce of commonsense.
I suspect BT had good reason to abandon the well and not go back. Yes, technology is much improved and maybe they missed something as a result of those obvious limitations. But maybe they didn’t - maybe they knew what we are about to find out ?
Time will tell and that is why this is such a risky play right now ( and why the SP is not doing what some people on here would like to think it should)
Never invest anything you cannot afford to total lose, never listen to anyone ( including me) on this board and NEVER buy into the cult of any leadership of a business - especially on AIM.
How is ‘god’ getting on with the Coronavirus then ? Do let us know . And cancer ? He’s not done much with that has he ? Considering he created this world you’d think something like that would be a walk in the park right ?
While I’m an atheist and do like the idea of faith, the notion that there is a god who can heal is bloody laughable. Please stop posting your nonsense publicly, it’s offensive.
How do you know the sellers have held for years ? Maybe they bought in at .7 last year and have decide to sell now, take that profit and buy back in when the well is non commercial and the sp dives again. Maybe they think this isn’t going to rise into spud and now is a good time ( which kind of makes sense because, er, there is no FOMO and it’s not going up)
Seems like good investing to me.
Pbody. Stop pretending you know anything about a subject when you clearly don’t.
The idea that a Lada is , over its lifetime, is more environmentally friendly than a Prius is laughable. But why listen to me telling you that ? Why not, instead , listen to what the European Environment Agency have said on the subject - https://www.eea.europa.eu/highlights/eea-report-confirms-electric-cars. And that’s comparing with modern ICE vehicles !
