Looking back at my own posting history, I seem to spend most of my recent posting biting back in response to known derampers and folk intent on disrupting these boards.
Bickering with folk who have no genuine interest in other people's opinion and are just here to shout others down and drown out genuine debate is getting tiresome to read (and be a part of).
Anyone not agreeing with THEIR opinion (pro or con) is labelled a troll, and all this 'my share is better than your share' carp and the constant abuse from some posters is just becoming so predictable and pathetic.
Life really is too short to be getting into that, so I will be taking a break from these boards, but will continue to read and await news.
Still a holder, still positive here and not planning on selling any time soon.
Reading the same generic posts day in and day out about MM games, shorts closing, buys showing as sells, placing shares being forward sold, etc does make one lose the will to live after while too.
Good luck to all genuine holders, good to see a blue day after the RNS earlier.

I bet you took great joy in posting that reply both on here and on twitter.

The point of different boards for different shares is so that chat can be restricted (hopefully) to just the pertinent shares on their own particular board.
There will at times be relevant info for more than 1 share which folk can and will share on the boards as well as some friendly rivalry (and often not so friendly).
Good luck with your investments, but I for one am not in the least bit interest in you plugging other shares on a UJO board and as you can see from responses, people will be quick to filter you, ignore you or disregard anything you have to say, good intention or not, especially when your first posts here are relating to other shares.
If you want advice on any other shares, try their own boards, but more importantly, dyor.

Wouldn't a buy-back program be a better option for both the company and shareholders?
Again, something for much further down the line, would much prefer a dividend when the new wells start generating cash - maybe in the 2020 year end results?

Yes, new investors and any possible II's will of course take the bod's past performance into account, but will look at the fundamentals and base their investment decisions on those with the possible risks associated with the past.
Some will see this as a risk worth taking, others not.
Down here like many and not willing to add any more, but see this as a potential for new money and continuing to hold and awaiting any news on planning, the upcoming meeting, etc.
May still be 6 -9 months away for any decent upturn though.

I think there is a personal email for GL, but don't know the address. I will have a look back through posts to see who the other poster was.

I sent an email Sunday before last about planning and any other non-price sensitive info they could provide and no reply. Another poster has received responses back from emailing GL directly though.

I felt that we would get a one-off 10% day on arrival of the rig, but the planning would push this higher.
Seems the rise of the last few days may have been in anticipation of approval. Too early to tell, of course, but all moving in the right direction here.
I thought the plan was that the first 2 wells would fund the next one and so on?
Great result today and activity expected to start on site within the next couple of weeks.
Who will spot the rig first?

My understanding was that if viable, there is enough cash in the decommissioning pot to enable all the red tape and reconnection to be done, so Saltfleetby is covered as a standalone project.
A new proposal would then have to be submitted for abandonment with costing, so presumably some of the profits raised over the life of the project would have to be agreed to be allocated to decommissioning when required.
Sure I saw something along those lines in an RNS.

You know the drill. Same posts, different board.
Filtering anyone with less than 100 posts as a multiple ID, MM's closing shorts, ukog holders switching to angs, quoting carefully selected 'facts' along with generous assumptions taken from official sources, SP heading back to 15/16p, etc.

I find it totally bizarre that folk will come onto a public bulletin board specifically relating to UJO and show surprise that the vast majority of posters have dyor, are invested and are positive about this share.
To then claim that the views here are one-sided is ridiculous.
All for open and honest questions about any aspects of a company, but repeating the same 'arguement' several times an hour for hours on end it is clear some are just on a wind-up, and to then try and turn the tables and suggest others are disrupting the board for calling them out is laughable. Very sly operators imo.
