I like no debt here. And $99m cash. And the output. The drop cUght me unawares though. I am 17% down in 5 days, from being in profit last week. To me it is a lot as I don’t have a great deal any more. Caught me out. I don’t like the talk of falling further to resistance levels…shares behave as they do for multiple reasons. I don’t think the reaction to NFP will help. Bit myopic and premature. We’ll see the Vix index put sooon I’m sure!!!

In theory, buying at the bottom has to be best, but these Omega events( as they are called in Economics) are not that common. I have zero naivity about manipulation of media and people. I have qualifications coming out of my ears but I was a fool. I feel that the right way forward here now is to only talk about the new Administration, Ukraine, the war, and howthey impact on our investment. I am on a very big loss and hurting.

If you had lived through the 2nd WW, you might value democracy. Demo means one man in Greek. It is the only way each man has a say. It is imperfect, as those voted in ( see Boris) can then abuse.

No-one hasEVER come up with a fairer social system of choice that one man one vote. Govts. f*** things up at times/often. This is known to all.

So…… vote ‘em out and hope the next lot aren’t as bad.

Absolute power only leads to chaos or evil depending on the nature of those in power. All comes down to morality .

Because of democracy, it is the closest to fair we can get. Absolute power means relinquishing the rights of the population to choose ( via single vote) , hence you don’t get anyone but dictators in absolute power, as those with morality have chosen proper democracy-in whatever form.( US voting system is nothing like ours). The nature of the autocrat ( total power) is what it is about. Some nations have benign autocrats ( like some Royalist nations-Jordan/Thailand) so absolute power does not damage.

In most cases total power is non-democratic, hence sought after by tyrants/dictators. But absolute power and control is at times benign and serves the population-all depending on who is in power. Pacific nations, some South American nations, etc do have well-meaning autocrats or royals. History is littered with well-meaning kings and queens. Often not though, as you say, as democracy allows limited but the only option for people-power. And the evil break the rules to get to the top.

Putin has committed genocide on his own young generation of cannonfodder, and on the innocents of Ukraine. He too will die, like the rest of us, but tyrants are drunk with delusional power and the sychophants around are living well off him so won’t rise up. Until it starts going wrong ( 1944). Yes Putin is very much a modern-day Hitler. Wily and cunning though ( like Hitler) but in his own way. Tyrants only respond to force and pressure. Lies and deception are their tools. Democracy is the best of all possible evils. It fails at times but is the only right way. Single Party govts. are strongest but can be corrupt and make big errors( see Boris/Blair re. Iraqstc). Pluralism fails. Too weak. Communism has many forms but is essentially dictatorship. There is such a thing as morality. The US, in all its glory, lost it in Vietnam and Iraq etc and is a country, like most, built on slavery.

Essentially history repeats itself. Some uneducated ( not judged by me) and naive do not recognize blatant evil in the world. Genocide or family( child) torture, it exists and myst ALWAYS be stood up to. Otherwise we are complicit.

I would give my life standing up for what is right. Especially if a loved or deserving one involved.

On a larger level, we must never bow down to evil. Best to die in sacrifice as many Russian opposition/media reporters have. Credit to them. Ukraine was never a perfect place, like anywhere. I was there in 2019. But it was like any other country filled with individuals leading their lives as anywhere.

Evil, like bullies anywhere, must always be stood up to.

Only in this way will Putin be forced onto his back heels.

Ukraine can only become free in this way.

Fact:- Putin cannot be trusted. Assasinates opposition as Hitler did. Treaties are nothing. March ‘22 he denied intention to invade( as in Afghanistan Xmas day 1981 Breschnev) . Putin just lies. Punkt. Simple. Like Adolf. Must never be trusted.

Fact:- Taiwan do not want to be part of China. Voted. Neither did HK but lease expired.

And Putin’s election was rigged and policed by force. Like Mugabe. Naivity to believe a Russian vote in Donbas.
