Well, I tried to offer you some advice and you've thrown it straight back at me in exactly the same way you've been trying to get your point across since you appeared on this board - with excessive aggression and hostility. If you want reasoned debate, you first of all have to be reasonable and it appears that you are incapable of being so.
Xray - you're shouting again. Try to breath deeply and actually read what I posted. You've once again somewhat misunderstood my inferral. It's the way you deliver your posts that puts everyone straight on the defensive as you're so aggressive. Some of the points you put across are completely valid but by smashing them at us your bound to get them returned in a similar fashion.
You seem to be a very angry individual. I didn't accuse you of posting childish points - simply the way you continually repeat the same drivel like a small child constantly asking 'are we there yet?' while on a long car journey. If your posts were constructed in a less immature fashion, I'm sure the feedback would be more encouraging. As it stands, you seem to be just trying to antagonise everyone - either that or you're on a bonus when you reach 1000 posts.
More of the same childish repetition.
Congratulations - A whole day's worth of absolute piffle spouted with the inane bickering looking like it's going to spill over into this morning as well.
I'm totally in favour of collaborative co-operation - in fact I cherish it. Nice to see that the atmosphere on the board has changed for the better.
Excellent information - good to see all sides of the argument for once.
Blimey. I only called him out for clogging board up with dross. My posts have been deleted as well.
Sorry Pbow - I was trawling for news myself when you posted the link and had a translator open so just chucked it through. Good find.
Today, from 1:00 p.m., and for more than 7 hours, at the facilities of the Constitutional Court in Quito, the hearing was held to begin the process of a possible popular consultation presented by Wilmer Manuel Meneses Ibarra, attorney common of comuneros of the parish of Jijón and Caamaño, canton Mira, province of Carchi.
This consultation, whose opinion of admissibility is the responsibility of the Constitutional Court (CC) has the following question: Do you agree with the mining exploitation in the territories of the communities settled in the parishes of Lita, Carolina, Jijón and Camaño, Goaltal ?
THE DATA
In the parishes of Lita, Carolina, Jijón and Camaño, Goaltal are located more than a dozen mining concessions, among which is the Cascabel project, one of the largest and with reserves of copper, gold and silver. In this audience There were almost 50 speakers among political representatives, unions, community members, professional associations, organizations, mining companies, lawyers and academics.
For example, Wilmer Manuel Meneses Ibarra - Ab. Jaime Bayas (Common Procurator of commoners belonging to the parishes of Jijón and Caamaño, Carolina, Lita and Goaltal). Álvaro Castillo, Mayor of Ibarra; Arnaldo Cuacés Quelal, Mayor of Espejo; Jhonny Garrido, Mayor of Mira. José Yépez Dávila, President of the Mining Chamber of Ecuador; Pablo Agustín Zambrano Albuja, Executive President of the Chamber of Industries and Production; Juan Francisco Guerrero, Company INV minerals of Ecuador S.A; Yaku Pérez Guartambel, Prefect of Azuay and President of the Andean Coordination of Indigenous Organizations; Harold Burbano and Manuel Defás Mora, Ombudsman; Alberto Acosta, Natural person, among others.
On May 27, the constitutional judge Agustín Grijalva Jiménez issued an order for this hearing to be held. And until next Friday, June 7, at 4:30 p.m., the deadline for people or organizations that did not intervene will be able to present their papers on the subject in writing.
After that, the Constitutional Court will have 5 days to present its opinion on the legality and constitutionality of the question.
Santiago Yépez, president of the Chamber of Mining, explained that the request for consultation is unconstitutional because a topic such as mining, with national repercussions, can not be defined with a local decision of around 8,000 inhabitants of the 4 parishes of Imbabura and Carchi .
For his part, Yaku Pérez, prefect of Azuay, asked the Court to allow all necessary consultations, because otherwise it would be violating rights to life and water.
The constitutionalist, Rafael Oyarte, commented that the 2018 consultation already clearly defined where mining can or can not be done; also explained that you can not prohibit an activity such as mining, which is allowed in the Constitution of the Republic. (JS)
Yes - exactly the same thought occurred to me. According to those figures and the current SP, we'd be getting shafted!
Any ideas why the sudden rise anyone?
Are these dead & buried? I have (or rather had) a couple of grand in this graveyard share and was wondering if anyone knew if can now be assigned as a loss so that I can offset it against profits elsewhere before the end of the tax year.
