Really pleasing to see this trading pattern in comparison to wider market. Although pleasing it’s difficult to see the reason?

Watch out for VAT and rent quarters. Look also at new site openings with limited revenue on opening. Look at cash at year end. DYOR

....as well as cancelling I took out a short. It’s people like me that are capitalising on brands whose products and services and business model leaves them exposed to this type of unusual situation. Long May this hysteria reign! It might be that they have to take a low ball offer to take this thing private. Let’s see.

Gym Group sells it’s membership contracts on an easy in easy out basis. Members will cancel their membership, as I have, while this thing works it’s way through. Gyms already have a poor reputation for hygiene standards and once members have left post January peak sales they ain’t comin back for a while. IMO DYOR!

The FT have a piece on PFC. Can’t read the whole article but they carry the headline on reduced orders. They could of course have spun it more positively with dividend retained or similar..

PC- That’s an interesting point. my understanding is that he’s confessed but hasn’t blown the whistle on anyone else in PFC. So he is to be sentenced on that basis. If he did WB then he can’t have come forward with compelling evidence on which the SFO felt they could proceed in court.
I’m guessing a bit like everyone else. You can only go on what’s in the public domain.
I am also guessing that if unaoil are found to be guilty, on the evidence and that evidence implicated PFC then a deal may follow. Saves trying to prosecute a number of trials? DYOR though and best of luck

PC- The SFO have Lufkin. They don’t have to prove it happened, (because it did)only that PFC failed to have procedures in place to use best endeavours to stop it. The SFO are using unaoil to see if there is any evidence that PFCs procedures and policies were Just window dressing and that they were complicit. IMO

I hold PFC but watch Wood Group by way of comparison. Not quite apples for apples but close enough. WG tends to be more volatile with more debt.
Anyway they both move on the poo. Look at WG today 3.5% down on lower poo while PFC is up on the new contract news. On a flatter or positive poo day I think PFCs SP would have increased by more on this really great news.
Will be interesting to see how short tracker reflects the short holdings in a couple of days.
The monthly chart is encouraging and so long as the YE reports as expected we have the dividend to look forward to. I also would expect the level of the dividend to be under less pressure as a consequence of this new business. I’m also pleased but still cautious that nothing has fallen out of the Unaoil case, so far!
