It’s not a question of back tracking. The govt have been clear I think that it’s an open issue and should the O and G cos not invest surplus profits then a Wf tax is more likely. Sensible stuff.

My records say fallen from £16. This price influenced by Iraq war. War has been historically good for Poo. I’m not saying SP will hit those heights but I would say no one should underestimate how quickly this SP can move; both ways!

PS. Oil services firms have been in decline because the market is has made judgements on the time it will take to transition away from O and G into renewables. Geo political factors I think are now causing a rethink on the remaining O and G firms and their value. More work for fewer providers should mean more lucrative work and this is a factor in my thinking that margins will support meaningful dividend payments from 2023.

Macro economics and positive sentiment surely are the factors that have seen this most recent rise. These also are the factors that will continue to support further rises, along with securing further orders and whether hostilities in Eastern Europe remain, or spread, and the extent to which gas and oil supplies are effected. If China can resolve their COVID challenges I also see a further move upwards.
Before this company fizzles out, and I think it will, it will provide holders with big upside opportunity on todays valuation. So planning an exit point is a bigger challenge than being in or not to me at this time.
