I had to look into what convertible bonds were. (I am sure I am not alone) and while it seems there are pros and cons to this form of fund raising this line gave me hope considering where we "think" we currently are
"Raising capital through issuing convertible bonds rather than equity allows the issuer to delay dilution to its equity holders. A company may be in a situation wherein it prefers to issue a debt security in the medium-term—partly since interest expense is tax-deductible—but is comfortable with dilution over the longer term because it expects its net income and share price to grow substantially over this time frame. "
No bad news in that RNS but its funny watching some try and turn it into a negative. Nothing overly new either apart from a better cash position than I think most of us thought which is good news.
"Should" nudge the SP a few percent up but this is Avacta so I am expecting a level day or to finish a couple of points down but in the long run its irrelevant, its all going to plan (as far as we can tell) so just about patience now and ignoring the trolls.
A sentence in another or his posts probably explains it best 13thMonkey although he used an additional 17 words.
However I know f*ck all about biotech or AIM so that is why I ask questions that can be misconstrued as deramping.
Bit more on the benefits of orphan status here https://www.nuventra.com/resources/blog/orphan-drug-products/
https://www.cancer.gov/publications/dictionaries/cancer-terms/def/orphan-drug-designation
"A status given to certain drugs called orphan drugs, which show promise in the treatment, prevention, or diagnosis of orphan diseases. An orphan disease is a rare disease or condition that affects fewer than 200,000 people in the United States. Orphan diseases are often serious or life threatening. In 1983, the U.S. government passed a law, called the Orphan Drug Act, to give drug companies certain financial benefits for developing orphan drugs. This law is meant to help bring more drugs to patients with rare diseases."
Rumour is the same as always I am pretty sure. F all (would love to be wrong). I hope something comes of yet another rumour but how many times have we seen a 10% rise, the rampers get giddy, posters get excited, hurstbot melts down, sujood crawls out of his cave, pouncake (or whatever alias he is now) spams everywhere and then... falls flat on its face and we finish the week level. 18 times bitten twice shy and all that
I see wress and his crayon chomping twat gang of proboscis monkey are out in force.
Nothing has changed bit of a delay maybe before we get data other than that whats all the fuss about? All those expecting some big anouncement were living in cloud cuckoo land anyway. I think most of us expected naff all right?
My son came home from school today and asked me an emotionally deep question. I was not sure how to answer it and then it hit me. I logged onto LSE scrolled to a post and said "Son have a read". A few minutes later he looked at me with tears in his eyes and said "Daddy I dont want to be a spunk nugget like Wyndrum its scary"
Stay in school kids.
Not got much to do today Wress? No crayons to eat?
