Can it finish above 30 today?
Quite so, now 36.5 Bid, 37 Ask. It will recover, but doubt it'll be this week!
Narrowing, but for long?
Going slightly lower...
A massive loss, but is Level 2 showing a change in direction?
May 2 (Bloomberg) -- SCi Entertainment Group Plc rose in London trading on speculation Alchemy Partners LLP, the U.K. private equity firm run by Jon Moulton, may make a takeover bid for the maker of the ``Tomb Raider'' video game. London-based Sci Entertainment gained as much as 5.5 pence, or 10 percent, to 60 pence and traded at 59.75 pence at 8:45 a.m., giving the company a market value of 148.5 million pounds ($295 million). ``The talk is that Alchemy is close to tabling a bid for SCi,'' said Jimmy Yates, a London-based trader at CMC Markets Plc. ``A bid of around 120 pence may be on the cards, which at a 100 percent premium against the previous day's close, looks pretty good value.'' Calls to SCi before office hours weren't answered. Alchemy's spokespeople couldn't immediately be reached for comment.
Bloomberg report a possible bid @ 120p ??? (Alchemy Partners)
Well, even if rejected, it would suggest that bidders value the company at almost double the current amount. Would like to ask the poster on iii.co.uk where he heard said rumour, but am not a member.
Will try about lunchtime if I get a moment, but doubt they would confirm anything at all...it could be speculation, but we know that Elevation have aspirations...there's clearly an interest in SCi from other companies, though they do keep rejecting offers.
'Elevation Partners to bid at £1.10P?' That's all! Just wonder why anyone would make such an assertion if it hadn't been suggested somewhere...
So did I...there must be something in it, because no one could hope to ramp the share up that much...that said, we can't expect it to be common knowledge or else the SP would be 110, hehe
Your observation was most timely...the lack of working capital is squeezing the life from the company, so with no funding, they will be forced to wind up operations (unless capital can be sourced elsewhere, but that looks unlikely).
Any firm reasoning behind that thought about takeoff, or just opinion?
It's just having the life squeezed out of it at present...value slashed by 50% in one day...would be a buying opportunity if there was any potential for an upturn!

I thought the two went together...at least when one made money, rather than lost it...definitely an excellent profit on this over the last fortnight.
By Finncap, not especially positive...
But where is the bottom? Was tempted at 144, glad I waited...
:)
The SP is going down to a realistic level :)
