Good point OG, we are talking boEpd so gas is more likely, even so an O&G company normally is valued at many multiples when it comes to PE ratios.

I would be delighted to see 1000 boepd on the first deal, anything above that would be amazing.

Licence, Helium-1 IPO and a deal due then.

Clearly the news from the O&G congress, the positive Government statements and the change in demand, now multi country and not just Tanzania changes significantly the sentiment and the expectation of the licence, hence those bears becoming bulls.
I am relaxed about the licence, as the probability of it being issued has always been significantly higher than the market estimation of late for me, yet the questions outstanding are;
where is the Bod's deal in all this, is it somehow tied to the Ruvuma asset and when do we get to see the Helium-1 IPO due this month?

Tanzania temporarily suspends HGA negotiations with companies regarding development of the proposed Lindi LNG project.
In order to harmonise the Host Government Agreements HGA with existing Product Sharing Agreements PSA.
They wish to finish the current on-going PSA reviews before continuing with the HGA talks.

The TPDC Managing Director said.
"... It won't take long because for the time being they are wrapping up the (PSA) review.."
"... There are some issues which need to be resolved but without going into details, we hope to wrap up the review any time from now. ..."

Thanks Stonefold, this is excellent news, the PSA terms have leaped frog the negotiations with the Majors over the LNG project and are now first in line.

Takes all sorts to make a market Bucks, why bother with so much energy on others opinions, especially those that have not posted for how long? By the way the blog was/is really useful for research, shame its not being updated with all the new information form the Tanzanian O&G congress this week.

As a current holder I am much more interested in the change in language from the Tanzanian Government and the impact on the licence being issued. The Gov seem to have a vision of being an African gas and power producing hub through export pipelines and high voltage power distribution, Kenya, Uganda, South Africa etc. Development here could be quite rapid post licence and farmout.

@Bucks, not shooting anyone, nothing aggressive about my post. So you have put your money and & reputation on a lower price, in fact "new lows" so I guess you mean below the 52 week low of 0.575p then?

It looks like a serious asset BD and hence one of the core assets the Bod have identified. If they had the cash, I am sure they would try to maintain their % through the IPO due this month. They need to get the IPO done and drill to validate their current CPR and get a better fix on the total Helium recoverable.

Might be worth looking for assets that produce in US$ and not pounds Bucks. Insulation against UK Brexit and a carry to production might look attractive, of course timing for traders in/out with the licence pending might make them a little nervous about timing, especially with the positive sentiment & direct mention at the Tanzanian O&G conference this week?
