Thanks for the reminder BG, so we would expect to see the Development licence prior to the 3D with C1 only reliant on the licence extension. Is it possible that both will come together or only the 25 year development licence post C1 results?

The Tanzanian/Uganda/Kenyan gas pipeline is the gamechanger here. 1 BCF per day gas exports from Tanzania within the next 4 years according to the TPDC

Buoyed by some reported Gov progress joel...been a long time since the contract review was completed in 2018 and the Gov seem to have finaly finished the PSA review and sent it to the Operators - Rejoice!

Don't expect we will see it in Feb now AA...will things spring into action in March?

2017 - NT2 drilled with an 11 fold increase in gross resources, 25 year development licence applied for.
2018 - Gov initiate contract review with all O&G operators and concludes November#
2019 - Gov initiate PSA review with all 11 Operators, conclude their review in end Jan 2020
2020 - to date PSA with the operators for review...

Well the very long awaited Gov review of the PSA's is complete their side, so it's over to the operators to respond.

When you couple that with the u turn by the Gov over international arbitration, the signs look positive to me.

Didn't take it personally trrime, just also giving my opinion based on the PSA review completion and the Gov's International arbitration u turn which suggest It's all finally moving along.

I know it feels like it trrime but the Gov has finished its PSA review at long last, that's very significant news. So the PSA now sits with the operators. The new operator will be the Zubairs once the licence lands and it will all then move at their pace and I reckon that pace will be much better than the old operator.

I certainly hope to see the c1 spud before the summer is out steve.

Could be Frank, could be weeks or days. Depends on how much the Zubairs and other operators have already been involved. Certainly the Gov have already made a major u turn over the International arbitration, seems they are willing to give.

To Answer babel first, yes the PSA is required for a licence to be issued. Frank, who knows, depends on if the stakeholders have already been involved in the drawing up of the draft, for example as in meetings between the Zubairs, other operators and the Gov?

Current reports indicate that the PSAs review was completed by early January 2020and companies should receive drafts or final text by end of the month. However, it may not be easy to find out the proposed changes made by the review since government and companies do not disclose PSAs.

So the news on the draft looks like it was correct then.
