Solo have been working on closing deals for producing assets outside of Tanzania for many months already, don't see anything moving fast here on that front unless it is linked to solo or some other Zubair strategy for another producing asset. Zubs hold almost 30% of the stock with 2 Directors on board as well as the CEO being an ex Zubair employee, don't see any deal without them intending to be Knee deep in it when the time suites and PI's have funded a good proportion for them.

Hi Jack, I also consider the same, but also consider that are they not simply buying into all the great potential Aminex assets for what seems to be a very good price. If it is the Zubairs that now JV into more AEX assets then the scene is well and truly set, who else as almost 30% holders of Aminex would the Zubairs like to see JV in on the assets that they already own so much of?

Near term income is more likely to be a producing deal and or the farmout/sale of Ruvuma steve. Still reckon they will spud Dec 2020 like every other well they have drilled.

20 years in a family business and not the open market, kind of shows.... Every spud to date has been late December, all he had to say was we plan to spud this year, farmout completion and CV19 permitting.

The market is in an unusual place right now and they may well provide the BOD with an opportunity to deliver a deal with high potential upside post CV19. Like trrime I expect a deal will be very positive for the SP, pending terms of course. It also depends on where they are with the sale or farmout with Ruvuma. The Zubairs like the asset so much, I am surprised they are not in line to move their share of the asset to over 50% once they become operator?

Morning steve, quite agree, they had 15 deals, got down to 3 they were close to closing, one of which was the one Dyas deal that fell through, so no idea where they are with the rest?

Next news from Ruvuma should be along soon with completion of the farmout and hand over to the Omani's and news will then come from them and not Aminex. How quickly will they then move to drilling C1?

HI steve, quite agree. The board thus far have delivered little and we wait to see if they go for a complete sale of Ruvuma or a farmout. Looks like the clock is being wound up for ticking by the Zubairs.

Crusty probably knows more about this share & it's assets than 99.9% of the posters here. I have seen quite a few comments about traders here recently, we are all traders & the only variation is the length of time that a trader holds a share, some for minutes, others for days or weeks and some again for years.

Makes little difference in the grand scheme and the farmout and a spud date are the only news that anyone is interested in at this stage.

Going to be a huge drill for the JV.....when it happens and who mever that might be.

The BLOE rumour has been doing the rounds for several weeks now, they have a similar size gas asset but with flow rates that are much smaller than the Ntorya wells but there again have a higher netback. No idea if there is anything in it, but certainly JF and AF have significant holdings in both.

Interesting tweet from our Diplomat in Tanzania when asked if he thought the Zubairs would be drilling soon.

Ariel, good to see you back and I hope you are keeping well. Quite a few posters missing still and I hope they are all safe and sound.

Morning steve, glad to hear all is well and the same here thanks. Yes good to see movement, we have waited years for the Tanzanian Gov to issue that licence and now we just need Aminex to pay their CGT and the minister to approve the handover to the Omanis which I don't expect will be far away.

Some encouraging messages in an article posted earlier today.
1. It confirms that Tanzania is still “working on plans to export gas to Uganda via a pipeline.” I posted another article recently that specifically linked Ruvuma with these export plans.
2. It re-confirms that Tanzania “is working on distribution plans – through a mix of CNG, mini LNG and pipelines – to Morogoro, Dodoma, Tanga, Arusha, Mwanza, Shinyanga, Kagera, Manyara, Geita and Kilimanjaro.”
3. Interestingly it also seems to suggest that the LNG project (potential competition to us) is likely to be delayed by some years.

All very positive.

I think we may see an RNS next week confirming completion of the farmout. It’s then game on!

The gas pipeline is a big deal, the TPDC forecast as much as 1BCF per day demand above the domestic demand which is already growing nicely.
