Speculation for sure and has been for many years. However, the Beutong project in particular has far too much inherent value to remain on the shelf for much longer when copper prices are forecast US$12,000/t (Trafigura) this year and US$15,000/ (Goldman Sachs) in 2025.
This company needs to re-assess it's position, alter direction only slightly and get it moving imo.

Thanks again for the broker report, spot-on exactly what I was looking for. You have also raised another interesting and worthwhile (imo) aspect to investing in this stock, for example;
The Enterprise nickel project in the NW Province recently approved and about to commence construction producing 28 kt/yr when built, will provide an estimated 700 permanent (direct) jobs at the mine and something in the region of 18,000 (indirect) jobs into the community.
In Zambia, it is thought, one income supports 10 (family or other) members and therfore 180,000 people stand to benefit from this single operation alone.
Investing in this stock is not only about copper, the energy transition, Ev's and the rest, it improves the lives of the people who live there.

The Chair and CEO at JLP have confirmed the earlier disruption caused by power and water supplies, now resolved, have delayed JLP's programme of events by approximately 4 months. They also said operations at the Sable Refinery for Zinc have also been in discussion and sounded keen to reinstate the circuit now the Zinc price is favourable. They would be willing to accept 3rd party feed for processing/refining from local small miners in addition to their own considerable stockpiles.
Mr Bird did very briefly mention, out of the blue, Kash itu without further details a few podcasts ago and there has been some activity on site of late.
Been on the cards for sometime perhaps.
