I have worked in advertising for the last 32 years and most of what JD is saying is just how the industry works. Currently all clients want is evidence of 'impressions' an impression can be a tweet you are sent but never read but you scroll down the email that counts as an impression. Useless but that is what agencies have been telling their clients is good value for money. they can give no further info on who and what age these impressions are?
Gaming offers a whole new world of opportunity of targeting the 16-40 year olds with disposable income and this is the area most large manufacturers/service providers are looking for.
I have bought at 6p and 37p and lots in between i hope this will come good in the next 6- 12 months once Bids are able to provide the data JD talked about in todays podcast.
