News of what?

Can anyone explain how (a) the recent flurry of excitement stems from a 2020/2021 drill programme, yet we're towards the end of 2022, yet (b) folk, including Paul Johnson's Twitter PR thinks the SP will now go up 30, 40, 60x within just a few weeks? Presumably, in the cold light of day, if its taken 12-18 months for someone to get round to looking at a core sample that's been at the back of a drawer for that long, and we're only talking a second round of more detailed drilling being organised in coming months, then surely any SP boost (or flop), like for like, can't be before say mid 2024?

Anyone explain in plain English today's website News announcement?

A general, stockmarket-wide, point but can anyone explain the silly trades such as, for SYN, 12-Aug-22 09:33:36 a few shares marked as Buy for a total value less than £8. Who and why would do that when charges will be probably the same again?

Espenviking - so long as HL don't mess it up and do anything silly like sell everyone's shares to cash then expect us to buy back once the price has shot up. Their app's footnotes, along with general cluelessness whenever anything out of the ordinary happens, doesn't give 100% confidence.

shaa - what does that mean, IG not taking long positions? Surely a long position = either (1) you already own the shares and are holding [so are you saying they're just not selling any more to anyone?], or (2) you have some kind of option to buy in the future at today's price.

If the former, then is that good or bad in terms of where they think the price will swing to in the near future? If the latter then, well, is that really possible and if so where/how?

So when is this so-called CPR on the alleged new find due then, if not even started yet? Not least as all online rampers would have everyone believe its imminent!

Latest in sense of a stated intention, or to meet some accounting or statutory deadline?

But how does COPL compare to the fate of "US Oil & Gas plc" .... big find a while back, now scratching around for pennies with which to survive, it seems to me ....?

Is it me or is it suspiciously 'not there' ? Confess I speak as someone who threw some change at this a while back and am just along for the ride, but am trying to better understand the recent flurry of activity a couple of days ago + what the real medium term upside might be.

Sorry if asked and answered in earlier posts - this site doesn't lend itself to archive searching - but are there any broad-brush estimates yet of the value, at today's prices, of the silver in the ground? I appreciate that itself is open to interpretation - how to factor extraction/processing costs, what cut would Alien actually receive, over X number of years, blah but are there ANY numbers up in the air, and on what basis?

Happened a day or two ago and someone reckoned the MMs had run out of shares. What's the setup over there? I mean, are they separate shares, so the real shares in issue is in truth higher than what we see in the UK - you know, there's the London Market and the Canada Market, total shares in issue = UK + Canada? Or are they one and the same, but for whatever reason there's no cross flow between markets by MMs?

So what's all these billions of barrels worth to COPL and, in turn, us? Anyone know upfront overheads, operating costs, value of what comes out the ground, forecast monthly or annual 'bopd' and in turn well life we're talking ...?
