Great line of thought - I was aware of the large green gold agribusiness, cant recall the companys name though?- but arent they also a miner per se( large one) and have a huge turnover just from their agribusiness side - the green gold potential-thinking of pala and parcelling a sale- might be worth looking at churchill mining to see if pala still has an interest and to see how vladimir Iorich is these days , eh? whats his and palas strategy these past 3 years? :-)) jmo

London, UK, 9 July 2013: Sierra Rutile Limited (AIM: SRX) announces that all of the resolutions put to shareholders at its Annual General Meeting held today were duly passed, save for resolution 8 (re-appointment of Michael Barton as a non-executive director), which was not put to the meeting on the basis that Mr Barton's resignation, announced on 2 July 2013, took effect immediately after the close of the Annual General Meeting.

Conclusion: On the operations front all is going well with the Lanti Dry Mining project coming through with increased production. The prices are off for the suite of TiO2 product from the highs in 2012 but are still much higher than prices in 2011 with companies in the space generally expecting prices to have bottomed out here. There is still scope for good cash flow generation and with a commitment to payout dividends after the Gangama capex is met should keep interest in the shares. The shares are trading at an EV/EBITDA multiple of 6.3x with EBITDA expected to coming down 35% from $103.48 for FY 2012 to FY 2013 concensus estimate (Bloomberg) of $68.7m. maybe they can work some separation, post tailing process and even do a deal with the likes of the molycorps of the world? just ship out the unrefined ree in bulk? once its been processed for value with rutile/zircon/ilmenite?. might save issues with the isotope content within one of the ree elements? as for the average price per tonne with rutile/zircon and ilmenite with the various (3way) operations currently on track, srx must be class leader and even with the spongy pricing, china still cant compete as their process is flawed and pretty much toxic? within their sector internally? people need to note srx has probably the largest NATURAL rutile deposit in the world. Even if/when china slows below 7.5, if rutile is further impacted on cost/t from selling, srx would be in an enviable position to still be viable and could still sell the product earning multiples from cost/t unlike other major competitors who would have to slow production? stockpile? lay off staff? go for higher grade? either way there would surely be a certain price flat line as supply slowed due to spongy cost and reaction from producers? srx would still be able to push ahead at full steam? you think they might even add some more storage domes as output increases- the volumes of 250kt per annum wont be far away, and nitti port/ the shipping volumes will need stockpiling before hand? corbs musing :-)

Even with surpressed rutile sponginess with pricing- like this bit in rns... Whilst the tonnage of the resource is a relatively small proportion of the 841 million tonnes of defined resource within SRL's mining lease area, the grades are much higher, ranging from 1.34% to 17.34% rutile and 0.22% to 16.6% of zircon. This provides SRL with the opportunity to blend this product directly into the MSP, or via an existing 50 tph tailings upgrading facility. The high grade of the resource, low-cost mining with excavator and trucks, combined with the close proximity of this resource to the MSP, are expected to only require estimated production costs of US$130 to US$175 per tonne of rutile, excluding by-product credits from ilmenite and zircon. Tailings identified rutile is nearly double (75%??) from the older (pre dredge upgrade) rutile %. The spirals and other efficiency drives pre 2011, have improved rutile grade from jorc % which was? less than 2%?. And dry mine above plate capacity- marvellous. Any news of the thieving indians at Freetown or the upshot of the theft from old dredge scrap metal and the security company assessment as per earlier rns?. What is going on here then? hardly any trades and numb nuggets takes srx down c7%.? ftse retracing and china looking at c7.4- no balls no brains and no goddamn backbone you spineless, yellowbelly woosasses ? dont tell me £20k worth of trades reduced srx market cap by £17 million pounds? what kind of market place are we operating in here then? what a disgraceful sign of poor market practice. :-)))
