I have no idea how they price these assets but this deal seems to me to be very good news. The fact that it's immediately operational is a big factor. Should plug straight into a profitable company and add to turnover and profts. Still not sure why this is trading under 30p though. What's not to like?

Excellent - smashed through 400. A bit of consolidation with no slipping back then onwards and upwards. This is cracking good stock. Lovely steady growth.

What does 'no high value stone were tendered' mean? 1. They have found some but haven't offered them for sale or 2. they haven't found any?

Or, given that forward power prices are expected to rise in 2014-15, perhaps Alk is holding back for now in order to secure higher margin sales. I think this announcement is very good news. No reason why this should slip from here apart from a few profit-takers on the way. And I'd say we're looking at 40p and upwards in the next few months with an increasing dividend to come. Well done everyone who saw this coming - but it wasn't that difficult!

I've just re-read the March 13 results again. Fabulous growth story, increased pofitability, maiden divi etc. So will someone with more brains than me please explain why the SP is lower now than before these results? Is the BoD not doing a very good job talking to institutional investors?

Bluecoal - check the diary tab on this page. AGM is May 1st when the divi is signed off. Payment scheduled for May 31st. Ex-div is April 17 but no-one's holing this stock for he divi yet so there should not be any selling as a result.

OK, so there may have been some tax year-end selling last week. But this week is another sea of red. But at least it's holding. Some buying would be nice.

Hi teeepz, not many follow VEC on this site cos we have to put up with the puerile rubbish fom beatthat who posts his 160/higher highs on some kind of auto loop and which adds nothing intelligent at all to the discussion. Most followers will agree that VEC is in a good position - the right products, the right tie-ups, good balance sheet and the P&L is coming through. But like all pharma development stocks it's slow. 2013-2014 should be good for VEC though. Try iii.co.uk for some intelligent comments.

Some heavy selling going on today. Slightly worrying after the year end results and the maiden divi - I would have expected some institutional investors to have been looking for stock. Let's hope it doesn't go too far.

Agree, this is a hold. The results show we're on the right track. A few more banks signing on and using the service and well be up to break even, but maybe not before 2014. But there's enough cash in the kitty now to take us there and if they can increase sales without increasing costs then this will be a very good invesment. Some patience needed with ths one!

Hardly. Been in these since they were 15p! Though my average is nearer 20 now. 40p is a good target for 2013 based on current capacity. Personally i'd like see more CMM sites developed more quickly but I'm assuming the best ones may have been picked off already. Not so sure about AD - seems to me to be a high entry cost business with a lot of social barriers. Whereas everyone's happy to see CMM units solving that problem and making money. Looking further forward - the DoE's energy crunch for 2015 - a straight line increase in ALK generation capacity - who knows? 80 - 100p?

A bit of profitaking going on? Hope so - only relatively small trades going through but a steady stream of sells since 360. Hopfully next week's budget should spur WKP towards 400 - Osborn needs to do something to stimulate business and small firms are the largest employers/growth sector in the economy these days which is good for WKP.

Seems to be some profit-taking going her. Silly B's! A dividend and higher capitalisation means access to new institutional investors. On target for 40p this year I would say. Does anyone know if that £53/MWh is just baseload or whether it covers the surge output too. Presumably that should be higher?

Strange, I thought these results would lift this stock more. The dividend hike is particularly good and seems to be based on a well re-organised company with lots more recovery potential. Perhaps we'll see some movement when the CEO does his round of institutional shareholders now the results are out.

Good announcement re Amex. That' the second big bank they've picked up. And strong buying today. The March 28 announcement should be interesting - let's hope the SP doesn't overrun those expectations in the meantime. But I agree with BaringUp - this looks like a 30p stock in the near future. Add another few banks in the rest of 2013 and who knows where we'll be!
