in case you have missed it on monday brussels have taken a large step down on the stance on fishing in our waters ,so sod the usa , a deal for us to take back control of our own water is getting closer that should boost this dog of a share

i agree just walk away , did i dream that the finance sector had stated they were staying in our capital regardless ,,as for the fishing a legal nightmare the quoters were given to each country ,some english reg boats owned by [not fishermen] stock peeps sold quoters to france spain etc so hence the problems but the eu should never have allowed any countries allowance to be sold to another infact i think it was illegal but a blind eye was turned, our water aleast up to 12 miles around our coast ,let them have the rest if they come in ram them like the frech did to our legal boats around the channel isles ,have agood week end ,lets hope the upward trend keeps going next week q3 thurs fingers crossed

i forgot to say of course the irish farmers are controlled by the eu and where i pay the farmer 40 cents he only gets 33 cents from the milk board , i could agree that the supermarkets are to blame but the prices the farmers get must be set by gov /eu unless[ as i have found out ]they own their own farms , our local pig farmer has his feed stuff sent foc as long as he sends a set amount of 70kg pigs direct for sain****** [his words] weekin week out[ perhaps its the same for milk over here ] no money changes hands he can sell off under weight and over weight himself for profit

greedy farmers are to blame ,i normally spend the summer in r o ireland i have the choice of 3 farmers within 5 miles ,i can get whole milk ,nothing taken out ,40 cents a litre,120 l a time, past it my self and make 5 rounds of cheese 15kg total ,as i couldnt get to ireland this year for ob reasons i tried locally , nearest ]even though i live in rural suffolk] 12 miles and want £2 a litre if i take my buckets and collect , one has a vending machine by the roadside i havent tested the fat content , the farmer who wanted £2 sells his past whole milk in local shops for 95p but it has had some fat[cream] removed the same as supermarket milk which of course has been homogenised[cant spell] the whole world has gone ga ga the same farmers must only get about 30/40p a litre as the supermarkets sell it at 50p after they have creamed off the cream .at least after brexit we may see more dairy herds again as it was the eu who have restricted the amount the uk could have , have a good weekend all lets hope this week knocking on the door of 30p continues upwards then i couldnt be bothered how much i have to pay for milk ,lol

hi asp i do like your post with all the comparisons , i invested 27k on various mainly 5 co, lloy being a big factor over 10 years ago ,my portfo is now only worth 26K so what do i know? hey , i have left the divis in and bought and sold various over 10 years what do i know? by not taking out any money i now have 3 times the amount of shares in said 5 companies when this covid is over and brexit is behind us divis start paying again ca ching fingers crossed

i can recall the highs in the 1980s not 1979 ,i bought my pad after the falklands war which was 82, cant recall exactly when they went to 15% it was a couple of years after i bought but i do agree bread no jam

well said hb ,when in england i live in a 2 bed mid terrace bungalow cost £1300 council tax ,when in ireland for the summer[ didnt go this year cos of covid } my bungalow is detached 3 bed big garden my council tax is 99 euros , water is free , no sewage charge , street lights on all night,if it wasnt for ill health and visits to hospital i would be out of this sthi hole

hi mt1 sorry i have been on a call out , i am not disputing ant of your facts i just hope your right , my av on these is 4.3p because i had faith in mr cluff and the under ground gasification ,which has now been shelved , i think it had good promise ,we are still going to need gas for at least a decade until they are not going to allow any more gas appliances to be made . but as i oon as i bought at about 4.5p they had a share issue to fund said gasification, price was in the 3p range and then they did one in the 2p s and so on until it went below 1.25p so when i first bought it all looked good but here we are ,i just dont trust them even if it looks good on paper they are only out for themselves the pi can go fry , keep safe
