I am again short. Trading update was nothing to write home about. Takeover garbage talk is almost over. Mugs here have gone silent. No imbeciles left to buy bags so I am going to risk a short since I still have chunks of free ITV shares.

I even read earlier from a chap called Carrington that he bought back in to ITV having sold 2-3 pence higher. The stupidity never ceases to amaze me. I bought Microsoft when it dropped to 390 USD and sold a few minutes ago.

Which world do you people live in that only ITV is on your horizons? I think that most of you that buy back are revenge trading. It is a mental disease caused by the fact that you have lost a lot of money on the stock and you want to make it back on this one. In my early days years ago I suffered from it too so can recognise the types.

Pick well known US stocks that have momentum and hype alongside them. Buy them when they drop to a suitable average ( you do need to do some work here rather than just reading articles that have info that you cannot use), and then buy. Sell after you made some money around 10% at least half of it and then leave a runner at breakeven.

You see US shares may go down say by 10-15% but if you know when to strike the market recovers and you make a killing. Agreed Tom Most "real ITV holders" aka mugs are totally delulu (que boomers searching the internet for the term).

Most of the stuff I hold like Brazil, Oil, BP (even that), MSFT, 3x leveraged SP500 trackers, Russell 2000 trackers, are all mooning today while other opportunities arise like Gold soon will be a buy again and these mugs are just twiddling their thumbs waiting to break even and have missed not on boats but whole tankers of opportunities. They are endlessly searching and trawling through the internet to find a story to provide hopium.

Correct Ed1218 you own shares in the SPAC. And if you are wise enough you can sell your shares prior to the vote in about 6 months time to take advantage.

Now Omalley the company I am referring to is Kyiv Star and it will be listed in NASDAQ via a SPAC called CCIR a NASDAQ listed SPAC. I bought it between 10.8 - 11 dollars.

Omalley if you had put it where I asked you to do your research I believe at beginning of April you would have made 12.5% so far, and with a minimal downside guaranteed as it is a special purpose vehicle.

No it is not a good yield, for a company that is not a sustainable upwards path. The yield at 65p is 7.7% lol.

It is a speculative play for a bid and that is it. You have to look at yields in context. There are better companies out there with a proven growing yield YoY and an upwards momentum. Maybe less of a yield but safer than ITV which in a space of a week or 2 could move from 80p to 65p a 20% fall. What good is your yield then? You will need 3 yrs to recoup your lost capital.

This is the stuff that the monkeys here do not understand. I am not buying this dog at this level. I am content with my now 0 cost shares bought originally at 62p. This is a traders share nothing more nothing less.

If you want to grow your wealth you need to be making 10% a year minimum. With ITV you could buy here thinking how clever you are by getting a 6%+ return which after tax is more like 4.8% maybe less (which doesn't even cover real inflation)

So now finally Jedclampit begins to realise I hope the beauty of trading the range like I have been doing both long and short. I couldn't care less what ITV does now. I have free shares through being long and short and taking profits that I just have them and if a bid comes I will sell the dog or if it decides to re-visit the 60's depending on the context at the time I might buy again.
