The reason is simple. I have shares in BP as far as UK stocks are concerned and then some divi payers like GCP (wouldn't recommend them), IUKD (which once FTSE hits 9K I will be selling), VOD and then the rest are in US. I have holdings in 3 pre-vote SPACs that members of the Trump admin are involved in (it's the age for grifters), Gold (from the 2000 days), and an assortment of of Ponzi's like Archer Aviation some biotech stuff and a lot invested in Brazil thru (IBZL) as a long term hold, hoping for a Millei like renaissance once Lula disappears. Up until yday I was in MSFT, AMZN, MU, NVDA, BABA and others but I sold everything and waiting to re-buy lower hopefully once S&P hits its 10-day MA and using my discretion.
I also have some holdings in US natural gas and some long term short positions via ETFs in US.
This is how you invest by diversifying into things at opportune moments. Not by putting all your eggs in ITV like the chief numbskull here Pogo.
To answer your question why I post here. It's because it's funny seeing a lot of people collectively making the same mistakes. I am not here to learn any news that give me an edge for investing. You will not find this in forums of this type.
I have membership for 30 euros a month to an ex- hedge fund manager's substack who's analysis I respect and follow and that is where I get a lot of my knowledge and picks from but he will not give you entry and exit points. He will give you research and the technical stuff is up to you. You have to do the work.
